GBAtemp GotY 2015 - Round 1

Welcome to the first GBAtemp game of the year vote!
Here we have the top 50 games from 2015 as chosen by the GBAtemp staff. We believe that the GBAtemp GotY should be decided by our community as a whole, so would like our fellow Tempers to vote on their favourite games of the year for 2015 from the above poll.
Multiple votes are allowed, 25 titles will make it through to round 2.

Do you even have to ask which one I voted for?

Also, not bashing or anything (I love the shit outta the VN), but why is S;G on the list? Didn't that come out in like 2009? Unless of course we're talking about S;G0, which hasn't come out yet.

I really wish disgaea 5 had made the list. Lots of great candidates as it is though. This'll be a tough one

I can't vote any game this year.
the only game I played from the list is the free beginning demo of life is strange (first 30 minute). I plan buying it (but waiting next month in case it becomes a PS+ game)
I wish I could play more games.

Since there'll be multiple rounds, I voted for multiple things. Still: keep in mind I haven't played a single one of these games (and only played Mario maker from the list).

My votes:

* Witcher 3: wild hunt: while it's not exactly my kind of game, I just love how awesome the devs are. Tons of content (apparently), free DLC and linux support. This is more of a "when will I find the amount of time needed to even start this game?" rather than a question of whether it's good.
* Splatoon: if for nothing else, to show that the shooter genre is NOT dead and things do NOT have to look grey and serious.

and my number one spot is one nobody even voted for yet:

* Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

Yeah, I wouldn't have heard from it if it wasn't for Totalbiscuit either. but it gets my spot for making a co-op game that's actually focused around co-op.

So...since I haven't played these games I won't be voting in the next rounds (and I have no doubt that my top pick won't make it that far :P ), but still: good luck to all games selected. :)

But erm...why aren't games like smash bros or Xenoblade X not on this list?
EDIT: skip smash bros. Forgot about release date (last year)

Just read the list and realized I haven't played any of these games either. Guess I really just haven't had the time or money for games this year (I'm still working on FF IV the after years I got on the summer steam sale)

Is it really good?
I saw it the other day on sale on steam, and I tought of getting it, but I've still not decided.
It is for sure.

The voice actors do a pretty good job, sadly it is not really lip-sync. But if that does not bother you too much, together with some not that pretty graphics, you get a awesome story about friendship, time travel and other topics I can't tell you cause of the spoiler nature of them. The story is not what it seems to be from the start. It changes radically inside of the 5 episodes.

Please, try the demo and see if it gets to you.

can you really tell if xenoblade is game of the year without playing it? Yes, japan has it, but very few users played it, who would vote for that game except Japanese users?
nobody will (or should) vote for games they didn't play, how can you compare it to tell it's better than another one?
Well, that's just my opinion and why I won't vote random games.

maybe voting users have different criteria to pick GOTY.

I voted fallout 4 even if i don't have it.
I know it's among the few games that are far far away from 90% of the other games.

I would also vote for xenoblade X, but only if it has better menu and quest interface. I hated so much to use internet because xenoblade 1 is not able to tell you where is the fucking npc
