Only gpSP and PCSX are really faster as a CIA.And CIAs is better/faster?
You need gba_bios.bin in SD://retroarch/cores/system/Is it as simple as installing the CIA, putting the .gba on the sdcard and running gpSP or is there something else and I messed up? It keeps crashing when I run it.
On sysnand 7.1 and emunand 9.9.

I can't test CIA or o3DS. Sorry.Tested gpsp with Mario & Luigi superstar saga and super Mario advance 3, both run slow.
Using cia version on o3ds.
Is that normal? Or is there any configuration that I can make?
Can confirm that this is normal. Go play the injected version.Tested gpsp with Mario & Luigi superstar saga and super Mario advance 3, both run slow.

While the extra RAM isn't actually necessary for PS1 emulation and thus likely wouldn't affect speed, it's still interesting you were able to do this!
Maybe @aliaspider would be interested in your implementation? It would mainly be useful for Neo Geo games.
Because the makers of the hardware wrote the emulator for it.How does the PSP runs perfect ps1?
And PSP internal hardware (I mean, HW architecture) is more compatible with PSX emulation than 3DS one!Because the makers of the hardware wrote the emulator for it.

I haven't had problems in any of those games, or hacks of them. I'm running 9.9 but I sincerely doubt that's the problem you're having.I'm using a New 3DS XL, last update with ironhax.

gpSP
- The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past = 49-50fps
- Super Metroid = 50fps (can't shoot tho)
- Pokemon FireRed (E) = 20fps
