You shouldn't change the dock coordinates anyways, I'm pretty sure doing that can make it impossible for you to go to the island if done incorrectly.
I've done it before and I get to the island just fine, I do a decent job of figuring out the coordinates. I want to change my map. I already chose the way I want it to look, but the waterfall would be in the spot where my dock was. Guess I just have to wait for someone to put it back on the editor.

the NLSE program (not website) gives you the ability to move your dock.

Okay there are a few pieces of information you need to know:
  • The ram method doesn't work on Gateway Emunand (for like 99% of people). Actually, it doesn't work in Emunand in general, although there are some lucky enough for it to work.
  • You can't use savedatafiler on an original cartridge using Gateway because of their rom menu patches.
  • You can't use NTR 3.0 + the save plugin either because of the same reason above.
  • The homebrew save apps like SVDT, TDVS, and Savedatamanager won't be able to see your cart in Gateway emunand or sysnand for the same reason above.
The only way for you to extract your save easily is to first setup a CFW like rxTools, Cakes, etc., at which point all the above options will be available to you;
OR run the Homebrew Launcher in regular sysnand (meaning NO gateway patches). Have you tried browserhax or themehax?
Thank you for giving me the right info! Everywhere I went was so conflicting! I have not tried either hax yet, I believe the browser one doesn't work though due to the fact that my browser is not a supported version it's 1.7498. Does rxTools require homebrew or does it work with emunand?

Yep, Browserhax has some issues but some of them were fixed so it may work for you.

Rxtools is similar to Gateway, you can run it through the browser and load your emunand or sysnand with access to run any CIA. It can do many other things as well. It is very simple to do since you have a gateway already. You just need to put the files on your SD card, launch it via the browser (similar to Gateway), and extract your save with Savedatafiler. There is a tut in my signature.

Just to give you a bit of info from what i've done today:
I'm using a New 3DS XL on the latest firmware.
I've been playing Animal Crossing for 3 months on my sky3ds card and decided to buy the original gamecard. I didn't want to loose my progress but was able to inject my old save into the new card by using SVDT via the browserhax. Ofcource i had to edit the timestamp in the save but that's only because of the transfer from one card to the other.
Maybe this info is helpfull to you.

I GOT IT WORKING YAY! It was easier, I didn't even need to use rxTools, I finally found out how to boot Gateway into SysNAND so I could install the browser update :D

turns out all you need to do is hold B and press A while over the "Boot into Gatewaymode" and it changes it, this allows you to install/edit the SysNand

Okay run into an issue, everytime my character leaves her house, she faints and it goes back, then she faints again, it's an endless cycle.

EDIT: nvm I fixed it, turned out my house was in an invalid spot, once I moved it, it was fine

Invalid spot? Can I ask where? I accidentally moved my Mayor character's house inside the Town Hall once and I never had any issues with exiting my house.

Was on a cliff side area so it looked like it over looked the water. I found out the issue, it was because I had literally moved the house up 2 squares from where it originally was, so it acted like it was still in the other spot, once I moved it, saved, then moved it again, it was fine.

I was wondering if anyone who has successfully gotten the new RAM hack to work could make a video on how to do it for those who haven't mastered it quite yet (like me) because it would help me out a lot.
Thanks!~

What version is your browser? To check that you go to the browser, click the little spanner icon, scroll all the way down, and post the version. Also what version is your DS Firmware?
