TBh we cant exactly complain we got spoofer, a backup loader, game modding and of course cheating for those that are into that so it was something, the scene did deliver for those that waited on 5.3.2.
Yup, and now I wait for the same to come to 5.4

so what your saying is they should wait till nintendo shut down online services......sounds like a good plan :)

maybe its about giving nintendo time to get a proper effective troll/cheat banning system in place :P

So NWPlayer123 has decided not to release anymore hacks after the 5.3.2 one because of people cheating online? Why doesn't everyone just report the cheaters and get them banned, or can they un-ban themselves?

Then why does this thread even exist if nothing will come of it? It would have been for nothing and judging from what happened, that's all this thread was good for, lots of talk, no action.
to discuss actual things and not whinge about what could have been, we still have 5.3.2 homebrew and hacking to discuss

Cheating online ?
Yes I remember playing fps or soccers games online years ago an people didn't need to modify the game code.

LAG SWITCH users convinced me online play was something to avoid.

i always feel like 4 and 1 are missing typing 5.3.2......i guess i was on 4.1 previously

and btw @the_randomizer aren't you on 5.3.2 anyway?

Indeed, but there are glaring issues with the current state of Wii U hacking, esp. on 5.3.2 -

- No USB access
- No kernel access
- No method of EmuNAND
- No method of downgrading firmware, backing it up and restoring it
- Emulators are limited to one CPU core (provided people can port them over)

Pretty sure we need IOSU access to be able to do all the above.

Full kernel IOSU access though? Pretty sure no such exploit has been released, we've no USB access either, no EmuNAND, no downgrading on 5.3.2, etc.

Maybe NWPlayer will agree to release all current and future exploits if the randomizer stops editing posts to quote newer posts that have appeared after his.

@hippy dave Sorry, but it's actually far better and recommended to do this than having multiple replies in a long string of posts.

I'm glad I waited before updating. After replacing my brick (NAND mod gone wrong) I had firmware 5.3.2 out of box. I was so tempted to update and transfer licenses from my brick to my new Wii U and cash in in the included Splatoon code. I was so close to breaking and needed a little assurance from gamesquest1 to hold off. IIRC the day after our conversation WUPInstaller/spoofer was released. Shortly after NNUPatcher granted my transfer wishes to come true. A few days later Loadiine was released.

If NWPlayer123 and co. decide to release in the future I will be grateful, but I'm in no way deserving of any of their work.

we have 2 options then
A) we get cracking and do stuff ourselves
B) we kidnap these disrespectful devs and forced them to do our bidding....chain them to a PC and only feed them if they do all our l33t h4ckz

I wouldn't have seen your reply except that I know you do this so I scrolled up to check. Rather than just reading NEW posts which is what I should be able to do.

Yes it's recommended to quote multiple EXISTING posts all in one post, but not to add newer ones later. You know nobody else does it, there's a reason for that. It makes the conversation appear out of order and nonsensical, and, again, people should just be able to read new posts, not have to go back and re-read every old post on the offchance that they've been changed. It's just not how to internet.

if you use the ignore option you never have to scroll up ever again.
