Really? So when you're in any kind of fog you get what appear to be scanlines across the screen from the original game? Doesn't look like that when I watch it on Youtube...
because videos you saw were likely to be interlaced.

Hey guys, I have a friend who has problems with starting nintendont. He gets a Stack Dump, everytime he starts nintenont. Even without hdd connected he gets the stack dump, so it is not a faulty hdd. My guess is a faulty SD card. Any other ideas?

EDIT: He doesn't even get to the screen where he has the choice between SD and USB.

That's odd. Try a different SD card. Make sure your IOS58 is clean and the latest. Also, make sure your Homebrew Channel is up-to-date and not modified. It also wouldn't hurt to make sure the XML file is properly copied over, though that shouldn't cause that.

It is in German, but it shouldn't be a problem to read it. It looks good imo. My guess is the SD card. Unfortunately he doesn't have another one.

Your IOS58 isn't a valid revision as far as I know. Someone must have modified it. Grab the latest IOS58 as a clean WAD and install it via your prefered WAD manager.

I have the same version of IOS58 and never tempered with it. Neither did he. Nintendont works great on my console.

There are quite a few effects in Windwaker that are rasterized like the fog. The Gamecube's frame buffer isn't that big and you can only fit so many textures into memory before you have to do that. The OpenGL docs have a section on it: https://www.opengl.org/documentation/specs/version1.1/glspec1.1/node41.html

The YT videos that don't show that are probably running on Dolphin.

did he made sure that is nintendont dol isnt corrupted? or even his SD card needing a format? btw ios58 isnt needed for sd card afaik sd cards are mounted diferently than usb.

I also have a fake controller that gets me dsi exception dumps even on homebrew menu so theres that too.

Thanks for the reply. He redownloaded the dol several times. He is buying a new SD card and tries agein later. His current SD card is a nearly 10 years old 512 MB Sd card. I bet a new sd card solves the problem.

Been away for a long time and just wanted to say thanks! I can finally play star fox adventures without issues and use my ps4 pad plugged into the front of the console.

So if it doesn't happen in dolphin, there must be a way to fix it.
no. Because dolphin does render with textures upscale.

While in progressive mode on HD tv, anything could be seen as pixels, since the resolution is lower.

the scanlines you saw are normal behaviour. there is not glitch :)

I love Nintendont so far. It's game compatibility and ability to work with the Wii U make it truly amazing. However, my only compliant is that Super Smash Bros. Melee has long load times compared to DIOS MIOS, devolution, and even the physical disc. Is there anything that can be done about the loading speed or can it not be solved?

yes you can unlock the speed limit but there is a catch ssb, is one of those games that uses h4m files so if the speed isnt gcperfect the file wont play their are mainly stage sounds i tihnk so if some stage sounds sometimes not playing doesnt trouble you just unlock the speed in the settings.

Lot of people dont know that DM has the speed unlock that why it has so manny issues too.

It could also be the speed of the media you have your ISOs on. Are you using USB or SD Slot? If USB, what type of USB(Flash SD Reader or HDD)?
