Should be neither, really. I also have 9.5 GW-EmuNAND, use BootNTR and the plugin works fine. Maybe try updating your Gateway launcher if you don't have the latest version?
Weird... I'm on 3.4.1 and using the Boot NTR 3.0 CIA that states that it's 2.4 when it executes. It just goes in Root/plugin/home right?

i tried and the difference is not much as such as this
In this video its like 3 times faster , but my is just 1.5

That's because I had 3D on to show the difference of how much a change in clock speed will work. When you turn 3D on when playing SK2, you can see that the game lags a bit, but when I used the plugin and brought the clock speed up to maximum, the game ran without lag even with 3D on.

It sure is a shame that NTR doesn't support emuNANDs running on 9.5. I'd really like to use this, but myself and many other people already have their emuNANDs set up comfortably on 9.5 (downgrading would be, well, a lot of work, not to mention loss of amiibo support).

What are the chances of this being incorporated into a n3DS-compatible CFW that can run on 9.5, such as rxTools or CakesFW? It could be a menu option before launching the CFW, or maybe even aa configurable hotkey before you launch a game. Since NTR doesn't work on 9.5 (not to mention the boot rate isn't exactly reliable), seeing this in other CFWs would be amazing.

What are you talking about ? Ntr works fine on my 9.5 emunand (with gateway, but I don't think it's matter)
Is that true? I'll have to try again then. I tried booting NTR on my emuNAND 5-6 times, and it crashed every time. Based on what the NTR thread said (and the error message, which I believe said something along the lines of "menu version unsupported," don't remember exactly), I thought it just wasn't supported. Especially since it worked the very first time on my sysNAND (which is 9.0).

Can anyone confirm that it works on 9.5 with a CFW besides Gateway? If it does, I guess that means I'm a really unlucky person.

Edit: Just tried it again. Same as before. NTR tries to load, fails, says "firmware or homemenu version not supported," dumps some stuff, then finally says "current firmware not supported."

That's what gave me the idea it doesn't work on 9.5.

Edit2: Interesting. It seems this is only a problem on reiNAND and Cakes FW, for me at least. NTR 3.0 works fine under Gateway and rxTools (the latter of which I'd prefer not to use since the boot rate isn't as good as the others).

Edit3: Well, I was able to use the plugin, but I don't think it's working. I tried a few games, even Pokémon, and after selecting the CPU clock option, none of the games I tested are getting a framerate boost like they probably should be. I'm definitely not seeing the results in Pokémon like the video earlier in the thread.

Wait what? I'm using ReiNAND on EmuNAND 9.5 with my New3DS and NTR CFW 3.0 works fine.

I'm not sure what the problem is. I tried BootNTR with reiNAND and CakesFW, and they both spat out the "version not supported" error. It worked immediately in Gateway and rxTools.

But NTR 3.0 issues aside, I'm not certain the plugin is actually setting the clock speed for me. I selected the last menu option, but my framerate in Gen 6 Pokemon games still suffers. It's not at all like the video earlier in the thread.

Did you set the clock speed while playing the game?

just to confirm after changing the cpu clock speed, i just have to press b to exit out of the ntr menu for it to take effect?
Sorry, new to using the ntr system.
And I am on the same setup as linkmstryt also so NTR 3.0 cfw does work on reinand 9.5 emunand.

I tried using it on Dual Destinies, MGS3 and other games that run below their fps caps and nope, it's not working for me at all. I tried opening the NTR menu several times to set various different clock speeds on my n3DS while running them and with no notable differences. MGS3 still chops at its usual 5fps in cutscenes.

Like the two above me, I can't get it to work apparently.

Which version of NTR are you using? Are you using the ninjhax entrypoint or .cia? Also if you're using a CFW, which one?

For me the custcenes still had lag but moving the camera in-game no longer caused fps drops. Maybe you could try comparing that.

I tried comparing the ingame stuff by switching on the fly. It's such a minor difference though if it isn't just a placebo.

I'm using RXToolsCFW and NTR 3.0 CIA on a sys/emunand 9.0E n3DS

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Sorry, I downloaded the NTR 3.0 but upon loading it the strings say "bootNTR 2.4" for some reason. I downloaded everything from the official bootNTR github

Quick question; do I need to change the clock speed whenever I go into a game, or can I set it on the home menu after launching NTR and it will stay on no matter how many times I switch games?
