Yeah, that's what I thought as well. When I first tried to load the NNU patcher it asked for the kernel exploit first and locked the console
Pretty sure it was a typo, but it would be nice to have them under one exploit, it would be less likely to crash that way, I think :P

Oh my bad, I don't have a WiiU anymore so I could never test it out xD Sorry, I was under the impression it loaded the kexploit then did the eshop patch

It is just me or has the eShop been super slow today? I tried to get on there earlier but it lagged a lot, and I have a 50 mbps connection, just want to be sure it has nothing to do with the Tubehax DNS I've been using or not.

Haven't had the chance to check today, but I'm guessing it's probably an issue NUS-side

Probably will be. Could also be that your network is congested (either via internet or local traffic). Do you live in an apartment or an area with a lot of other people using internet?
Nope, there are very few routers nearby and I have a solid 60 mbps connection (dual band router 2.4/5 GHz range). I can browse, download, stream, etc just fine, maybe it was just bad timing. But the other time I went a few days ago, eShop loaded super fast and today I managed to add funds to it, but navigating, oy vey, that was a pain.

really? because I thought that some games were available on Eshop?! what about THOSE games?

riddle me that ! :)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

because DS and N64 eshop game injection is available! then WHAT ABOUT WII? and how DOES the eshop wii game work?

You weren't paying attention. They are still loaded with vwii under specific permissions and they also have had their controls modified. Until someone can patch cafe2wii.rpx(IOSU) dump them and see how their controls are modified this isn't likely, and even than it might be a game by game thing and not something that can be implemented generically.

Smash 4 updated today, and while I've used WUP successfully, I decided to try updating through eShop instead, but I can't find the option for that. FYI I'm running off the disc, not the eShop version.

Is it actually possible to update disc games through eShop, or is that just for DLC? Do I need to WUP it?

Best to WUP it. It is probably possible via the disk somehow like it is with N3DS, but it appears games like to check for system title updates as well. Not sure how we can really get around that unless someone is willing to unblock Ninty servers and "see what happens" on their console.

Also - Nintendo stopped posting game updates on eShop. Likely to save space and clutter on the interface, and also a slight hurdle for us "homebrewers"

i can access the eshop but cant download any content
do i need the latest eshop.bin??

Replace DNS with tubehax, leave Ninty servers blocked, restart console but don't launch any exploits and they should download. I have issues on mine when I'm trying to download with exploits running on it.

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware

I used a vertical touch 22" monitor for playing some 3DS games through Citra.

Can't be that far off from it not like ds requires super hardware
  • HiradeGirl @ HiradeGirl:
@K3Nv2 I did that using Citra for 3DS games. Bottom screen was my smartphone. Until I got the touch screen.

    Use a TV
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Citra allows it already?

    Yes.

Any TV with your PC connected with Citra and any smartphone to use as a screen using a free play store app.
