Ok I state that this theme it wanted to do initially just for me, because volevoun theme based on my fanfiction, but in the end I decided to publish it. The BGM is called "and it comes from the manga" TOUCH ", as well as the story I wrote, the author of Mitsuru Adachi.

Okay I admit it is much work to fanboys, because I love the character of Koutarou in "TOUCH", but with this theme I wanted to try to make it a more professional pa trying to accomplish folders and edges of the icons in the best way possible. The BGM I tried to give him a better loop.

Although I had already realized some issues in the past I would ask an opinion, because in this I got engaged while the others were just simple tests.

You can find the theme here: https://3dsthemes.com/search/Sort:User PedroKeitawa

Hi there!
I'm triying to finish a theme, but I'm having problems with the sound effects' part.
I have already exported the sfx in wav 8bits 8000Hz PCM mono, then used the wav -> cwav option in YATA and selected "Create CWAV chunk".
I'm using the same sound to "Launch app" and "Close app", but i'm not getting any changes after trying the theme.
I'm using Yata v1.4.

Am I doing something wrong?
Thx in advance.

Did you check "Enable SFX" in the settings? Can you hear the sounds normally in the CWAV Dumper in Yata?

Try to disable background music from the theme. It is possible that your sound effects have very low volume, so they are not heard over the background music.
If you still don't hear it, try using some other files for the sound effects. If those files don't work either, then the problem is probably somewhere in your Yata settings.

I had this exact problem a few weeks ago (using Yata 1.3, but it sounds like the same issue still exists in 1.4). Are you starting a new theme by going to File -> New, or are you dragging a premade theme into the program to edit it?

I found that importing cwavs only works if you start a new theme. If you try to add cwavs to a different theme, they will not overwrite the ones already in there, even though they work in the Cwav Dumper. I think that this may be a bug in the program, because in that other thread with the tutorial it said that importing new cwavs is supposed to delete the old ones. I was editing a default theme that didn't have sounds, so it was trying to "play" what was in there before, which was nothing, which is why there were no sounds when I tested it on my 3DS. (And yeah, I tested this by downloading a theme with custom sounds and importing my own cwavs; my sounds played in the Cwav Dumper but on my 3DS it played the original sounds.)

Start a new theme from scratch and import the cwavs again. They should work on the 3DS this time, even though it won't look like you did anything differently. You can export the colors from your old theme and re-import them too so you don't have to remake them.

I'm using Yata 1.3.1 and I can overwrite cwavs without any issues (and I rarely start from scratch). I think it's probably an issue with the theme that was used as a basis, since it seems to be somewhat rare phenomenom.

It happened to me with the default Pink Basic theme that was ripped from the 3DS [no sounds], as well as somebody's random theme from 3dsthemes.com [several custom sounds]. Neither of them worked when I tried to import my own sounds (also tried saving the wavs in countless different formats before converting them, which made no difference).

I'm using a theme that had no sound, so that could be the problem.
I'm going to remake the theme from the beginning and see how is it going.

Thx you all very much!

I try another type of theme but with a similar "theme". I found that image and i freaking loved i try to make the top screen the present and the bottom screen the past. For BGM music i use a Kingdom Hearts music, i want try for a different BGM but the KH menu theme i found very good for the theme. I already upload on 3DSTheme, if you want try.

https://3dsthemes.com/search/Sort:User DarkRiolu264 heres my themes that I've made so far... ;)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Something when wrong when the site was updating a few days ago and a lot of themes ended up getting deleted (I ended up having to reupload like 20 of mine). If you really want it you'll have to find oxiel and tell him to reupload them, or find someone who downloaded the theme when it was up and can share.
the themes are marked nsfw for sexual content or for copywrited content

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I use ms paint for my themes... type in mspaint.exe into your search box on start or your searchbox and find it using yata+ and you'll be able to edit folders and icon banners
