Hi I'm having some weird results when installing Cias. Most of them won't start up without CFW Pasta but I have some that can start up without it. Is it cause some of them are missing something that prevents it from starting without CFW Pasta or is it the way I installed them? I new to the hacking scene.

Depends on the CIAs you're installing.

Most won't work because they're not signed and so you need a CFW that patches signatures in order for them to work.

Legit CIA will work however but they're half a dozen probably.

Ahh I see. Is there a way to get the signs and put them to the already existing Cia?
No only Nintendo sign cias, there is no way to do it yourself right now. The reason why you can start some cias is, that they are dumped from consoles with preinstalled games. Those are with a sign that works on every 3ds.
Also it only takes like 1min to start your CFW, just take the time :D

Ahhhh ok. I'll have to deal with the start up CFW pasta for now till Rxtools 3.0 comes out for N3ds XL. Off topic Do you have to start up RxTools everytime when you turn off the 3ds to gain access to CFW? And also you can't play installed JP cias on the 3ds right?

You have to launch rxtools every time. You can also launch Jp cias, with rxtools because rxtools enables region free.

Ah ok. Sounds like Rxtools is the way to go for CFW. Does it require internet to launch rxtools or does it use another method?

The methods available depend on model and firmware but usually there's always a way to do it offline, especially with N3DS since it can't use the browser.
