Wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to play ps2 backups with the LAN function (Xlink Kai) on Non backwards compatible models.
I have an original fat PS3 (CECHK01) that i played online with and had no problem setting up the network adapter and playing online using Xlink Kai.
When I load the PS2 backup (non encrypted) through rebug/multiman/PS2 Classics Launcher, and enter Network mode, I get a message saying that there is no Ethernet adapter detected.
I'm guessing because it's not recognizing the Ethernet adapter as being there while in "ps2 mode" But the CECHK01 does recognize it because it was built to
Anyone know if there's a pkg you can install to make the non b/c models recognize the adapter?
Does the Rebug "PS2 Launcher Classics" emulator support networking?
Thanks!
Update:
After some reading I realized that on the Rebug CFW overview it says:
Cobra 7.1 Overview
PRX plugins at boot time (sprx)
ISO Suppport: PS1/PS2/PS3/PSP/DVD/BluRay (Split ISO support on FAT32 drives)
Network Support: PS1/PS3/DVD/BluRay /PKGs (guide)
Does this absolutely mean that PS2 Network(ing) is not supported?
