I just installed this .cia and have been using it with ReiNand N3DS, but whenever I try to queue an update from eShop or prompts when starting a game, it downloads to the point of completion and then gives me an error code ending with 6106? Anyone else run into this particular error?

Yes, same for me. I don't know.. Can you post the full error code?
could it be, that you have installed cias before?

@RednaxelaNnamtra: What do you mean? Yes of course, i've installed many .cia's before on my system - games, homebrews, dlc's, updates, etc., etc.

I think he meant for the updates did you use cia's to update? If you did then maybe those cia's are interferring with the eshop legit updates. I only say this as this app has worked for every game so far on both old and new 3ds. But I aways had updated with eshop for updates.

I went back and deleted all of my update data to attempt to download the eshop updates directly. All of them except Code Name S.T.E.A.M installed properly, the exception giving me error code 009-6106.

Seems like Xenoblade is giving me the same error.

If you install cias, there will be a bad ticket in the ticket.db. Thos tickets will stay, even if you uninstall an application. This will cause problems while trying to download titles from the e-shop.

There is a known issue that eshop downloads can't be completed in sleep mode, you need to select the "download now" option instead. This is only an issue for CFWs other than Gateway.

Ok, thank you for the info. Is there any way to delete these ticket.db?
There's no easy way available for removing individual bad tickets, but if you're handy with a hex editor you can do it like that. Otherwise I think deleting it completely and letting the system rebuild a new one is the way it's done.

It is said to be that format the console could remove the wrong tickets.
I hope there is more peaceful way.. However it remains to be discovered, like the title.db issue for iQue3ds.

I read that a format does not blank out the ticket on the NAND. This is why it is important to have a CLEAN backup so you can revert back if anything you done causes issues. But this would mean you would have to backup your saves and install those games again. Or another option which just might be easier is to just use CIA updates for those giving errors. Just depends on how much time you want to spend.

Lets not forget either, there are a few games that ask for an update when in cia format, when none exist for them on eshop or in cia format,

Really? How strange. Can you elaborate?
There are games that request updates when none exist. They will even download up to 99% then fail with an error. (not the same as the above error code from memory, but when i am in my working environment i will post the code).

One i do remember of the bat is resident evil mercenaries, and it has nothing to do with the revelations demo attached to the game. Try converting a rom for yourself and see. There will be a continual update nag, when none exist for that title.

It would seem a game identifier has been used more than once by Nintendo.

If you are talking about that notice on the bottom of the top screen saying an update is available then yes I also seen that happen. One I just encountered recently was my daughters game monster high skultimate. It says an update is available but when you launch eshop nothing is there to download.

I have neither the time, nor motivation to rip my copy of RE:M to .3ds, then convert it to .cia, so I'll just take your word for it :P

Thanks for the explanation though, I'd never heard about these phantom updates until you mentioned it. So I appreciate you taking the time to fill me in.

One thing we need to consider is although it may seem trivial having a phantom update nag, is that something has gone wrong, potentially in the cia conversion process and will be viewable for a ban wave. When Nintendo do a ban wave there will be many people caught out, probably more so in the cfw cia scene than sky and gateway .3ds users.
