Hey guys, I'll cut to the chase... I'm going through a rough time and the TL;DR of it is that I'll be poor as hell for a while. To help alleviate that, I was thinking about donating (though technically selling...) plasma a few times (I even get a free snack afterwards, haha). The issue with that is that it can take quite a while for the whole process to finish and I'd much rather play a game than stare blankly at the TV or whatever else they have going on.

While I guess I can read a book... Who am I kidding, I wanna play a game. So are there any games out there that you can think of that I can play completely with one hand? If not a 3DS game, then one from a system that can be emulated on the 3DS (NES/SNES/GBA) or just regular DS. If you had a list, that'd be even better. Thanks so much, I'm looking forward to your responses!

- Puzzle & Dragons Z + Super Mario Bros. Edition
- Pokémon Shuffle

Thats about it as far as I know, im guessing you could even play regular Pokemon games but that depends what hand can you use.

Edit: Oh and the Layton and Ace Attorney games!

Oh wow, I actually already have Pokemon OR, Ace Attorney Trilogy and one of the Layton games. Didn't try them out yet. Guess I should!

As for Pokemon, if I donate with my right arm, then I should be able to use the left one to do everything? Sounds about right.

Yep, sounds about right if I remember correctly. Might be a bit awkward to get stuff out of the bag/check inventory+pokemon, but I believe that stuff can be displayed on the bottom screen?

Rhythm Heaven/Paradise on NDS of course. All you need is to tap and flick the touch-screen.

[insert one armed bandit joke]
[insert too much wanking joke]

anyway back on topic we had a similar thread the other month, though it was less for handhelds https://gbatemp.net/threads/games-i-can-play-with-one-hand.381785/
Likewise lacking one hand is one of the easier things to deal with so you might want to have a look around some of the disabled gaming sites, not sure what the current good ones are as there was a bit of flux in that world over the last few years and I mainly only deal with it when someone asks me to hack something.

Well, basically any touch screen controlled game. The DS has more than the 3DS. The only one that comes to mind right now is New Art Academy :P

here are a few i copied and pasted from a google search i did of your question (so please dont flame me if they are not perfectly compatible with your situation) all are ds games not 3ds but it is a start

Ivy the Kiwi
Knights in the Nightmare
Meteos
Elite Beat Agents
Cooking Mama
Picross
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Trauma Center
YOSHI TOUCH AND GO
Rhythm Heaven
Puzzle Quest
Wario Ware Touched
pac'n roll
Kirby Mass Attack
Mario Hoops 3 on 3
Final Fantasy 3
Civilization revolution
Soul Bubbles
Feel the Magic
Hotel Dusk
Brain Age
Clubhouse Games
Harvest Moon DS: Island of Happiness
Infinite Space
Magical Starsign
Monster Lab
Ragnarok DS
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood
Star Fox Command (MANY feel the touch screen controls were a bad idea for this game)
Summon Night: Twin Age
The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road
Okamiden
Big Bang Mini
Rune Factory 3
Zelda Phantom Hourglass

whats with all this twewy non-sense i'm not saying its a bad game but i beleive one handed was his key point and i remember controlling a second char that required you to use d-pad and touch screen at the same time ie two hands unless you all are mentally stuck on the android/ios version . . .
op do you have a android/ios a lot more options there as far as one handed things

Art Of Balance Touch is really good and can be played entirely on the touch screen with one hand. I know I had a lot of fun with that little title and I hope you get to enjoy it as well.

There's hope for a Xenosaga port.

If you can go against the high grade GUILT without using a second hand to hold your DS very steady, I admire you.

EDIT: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can control Fire Emblems and Advance Wars using just the stylus one handed.
You can play that way FE11, but not FE13. And I didn't have an Advance Wars around to check.
