So I got ninjhax 2 to work via OoThax. My question is that if I can get my xorpads via decrypt9, would I be able to inject FBI into my emuNAND?

Is it a new 3DS or Old 3DS? For old 3ds people use Rxtools, for new 3DS people use Reinand. Theres a really good reinand tutorial by Username taken called from Scratch to Reinand. You don't need any Flashcard but you need a copy of Cubic Ninja

Hi Zeriel, thanks for reply. Its the old 3DS XL on v9.2e firmware. Do I need a copy of cubic ninja to install cfw on my system? Can you direct me to a tutorial for rxtools please? What does rxtools do? is it CFW or an expolit?? If I install rxtools can I play .3DS roms from an SD card? or do I need to install something else in order to run .3ds roms? Thanks again pal.

Hi all. I wanted to know if Gateway is updated to work with the newest system updates on both the Old and New 3DS'es. I wanted a flsahcard, mainly for Ninjhax, and was debating between that and Sky3DS. The only downside to Gateway seems to be that you have to wait for updates. Also, if you install Ninjhax through Gateway/Sky, do you have to reinstall it each time you play those games again? Or does it stay installed even though the games are on flashcarts? Thanks!

Hi I was wondering if my firmware version would go back to default if I formatted my 2DS. Thanks for help!

Gateway can only work on firmwares on <9.2.0, and cannot be used to install Ninjhax. If you install Ninjhax through Sky3DS, it stays on Sky3ds.

Noobie here requesting suggestion and help in answering

O3DS running 4.3.0-10U sysnand.
Downloaded 9.9.0-26U emunand.

Successfully :-

Back Up NAND
FBI v1.4.11
rxTools v2.6
FBI Injection (Health&Safety launcher)
GW's Launcher.dat v3.4
PastaCFW v1.2.1
Ninjahax 1.1b
BigBlueMenu
mset (DS Profile) exploit

Question 1 : How to make and launch Valid or Legit CIA on 4.3.0-10U sysnand (example : Cubic Ninja.cia) without going into PastaCFW? Can it be done?
*SOLVED* Self-Solved

Question 2 : How to install specific emunand (example 9.2.0-20U) beside using System Setting to Online Update?
*SOLVED* Self-Solved

Question 3 : Can I install another version of Ninjahax over emunand? How make it boot differently from a boot.3dsx file?
*SOLVED* ANSWER : https://gbatemp.net/threads/running-ninjhax-1-2.395646/

Sorry for asking so lengthy questions here.

If you're using an O3DS grab the latest Gateway launcher, it supports the latest emuNAND version. If you're using an N3DS, the only thing you can do is restore an emuNAND backup from before the update was downloaded.
I have no idea what version is downloaded & ready to install, it may not be 9.9.0-26U, but rather an earlier version.
And as as far as I know it will update various system applications like the web browser which will then patch exploits those applications currently have & can be utilized.

So I'd rather just wipe out the downloaded update. Apparently that is some impossible task or extremely hard, which is actually kinda shocking.

Oh nice, for old 3ds you don't need Ninjahax, you can run the Gateway CFW trough the browser exploit. The first thing you do then is Backup your Systemnand because if something goes wrong you will brick the Sysnand and the 3DS will be gone forever unless you have a backup. When you make the Emunand you install all your CFW, CIAS and updates there, never to Sysnand, also you have to unlink the Sys and the Emunand, this is really easy, you do it by reformatting your Sysnand with the MicroSD removed.

There are a lot of guides online, a quick search and I found this one: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-installing-rxtools-custom-firmware-3ds-and-2ds.390867/ If you don't understand something, ask around, the majority of people here are very helpful :)

If your 3DS is higher than 9.2, your only options are Sky3DS or just selling it and getting another one on lower firmware, I recommend option #2

Sorry, I should have specified. I'm using a .3ds file. Tried re-copying and verifying the MD5 sum vs. the download and they match, so I don't think it's corrupted.

I did look into converting it to a CIA, but from what I could tell I'd need an Original 3DS on 4.5 to get the Xorpads, is that right?

Thanks

You don't need a 3DS on 4.5, you only need Decrypt9 running trough Ninjahax, make the Xorpads and then move them to Simple CIA converter and make the CIA. For any other .3DS problems, I have no Idea since I only use CIAs

Yea use Decrypt9 and instead of FBI, Install Big Blue Menu on your Emunand, then you won't even need to run Ninjahax to install CIAs, just install from Emunand

You can't use the browser exploits in emuNAND, exploitable web browser or not. The web exploits only work in sysNAND. The only reason to not update emuNAND is if you are using an N3DS as its emuNAND can only be updated as far as 9.5.0-23.

Hello,
I have finally received my Gateway and so far have installed emuNAND on it, but the official tutorial says I have to install new version of 3DS on emuNAND so I could access eShop and etc. The issue is that I already downloaded the update on the sysNAND but not installed it (as in I kept getting the update prompt but never updated, 3ds version is 9.0.0). Is it guaranteed that the update will install on the emuNAND and not sysNAND if the version says GW near version number, just to be safe?
Thanks in advance!

If I where you I would reformat the Sysnand in system settings, then backup my sysnand just in case, then make sure you're in Emunand (Change theme / background color or something) and THEN update.

If you update into Sysnand is game over man

Does reformatting sysnand in settings remove the update prompt then?

I'm thinking it does, but I'm not 100% sure, if you remove the memory card and format sysnand it also unlinks it from emunand,
If you install something on emunand and it shows up on Sysnand that means they're linked. This can brick your system if you install
the wrong thing into Sysnand.

When they're unlinked, you can have a theme on Sysnand and a different theme on Emunand, when you start emunand you
should get different folders / themes / CIAs that won't show on Sysnand. This is what you want, so if you fuck up Emunand, then
Sysnand stays safe.

Is there ANY way to play online with a public header or editing a header without a legit cartridge to reduce the chances of getting banned?

If you want to get rid of the update nag on sysNAND, while booting the 3DS hold L + R + A + Up on the D-Pad. A screen will come up asking if you want to update. Select no and the downloaded update will be wiped.

If when in system settings it says GW3D, you are in emuNAND and you are safe to update. Do NOT leave the system settings before you attempt to update emuNAND. Once you've verified that you are in emuNAND's system settings, go directly to other settings, press the arrow on the right side of the bottom screen a few times times and select System Update; if you leave system settings at any time you will be booted back into sysNAND! After emuNAND's update is finished, you will be booted back into sysNAND. Boot back into emuNAND and it should be on the latest version.

Successfully updated emuNAND to lastest version, sysNAND is still on the old version. Since I want to unlink the NANDs, do you know if formatting system memory in data management while in emuNAND will format both NANDs or only emuNAND?

You have to do that on Sysnand, do the following:

Turn off the system > remove mSD > System Settings > Other Settings > Format System Memory > Go through initial setup process > turn off system

Insert your mSD & start up the system. Your Sysnand and Emunand will now be unlinked. To confirm this, you can change the theme color of the Sysnand or create a folder(s) on the home menu > Boot into Emunand and the theme / folders won't transfer over.

*Reason to unlink Sys & Emunand - Installed games / apps on a linked system will require you to unwrap packages every time you boot into emunand.

**Unlinking the Sys and Emunand will create a new friend code for the Sysnand as well as wipe your NNID from that Nand.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If you want to get rid of the update nag on sysNAND, while booting the 3DS hold L + R + A + Up on the D-Pad. A screen will come up asking if you want to update. Select no and the downloaded update will be wiped.

Oh cool I didn't know this thanks

So I finally caved and ordered a copy of CN off of Amazon for ~$40. Will I need to nuke my emuNAND so I could use Ninjhax to install a .cia installer since my NANDs are unlinked? I'm using reiNAND, btw if that changes anything.
