Okay, I think I'm ready for this. My mset folder has code.bin, rxinstall.nds and 2 QR Codes. Do I copy code.bin and rxinstall.nds then visit this link?(You need to have downgraded your mset to 6.x or rxTools won't boot from the DS Profile)
After you copy the files to the 3DS's SD you can run the 3DS browser and visit
http://dukesrg.github.io/?mset/rxinstaller.bin
OR hit L+R on the home menu and scan this QR code:
The bottom screen will glitch a bit, then you hit home (or try to close the browser) and wait until it shows a message saying "an error has occurred".
Then you reboot the 3DS (not always necessary, but it usually does not work for me if I don't reboot)

delete the firmware.bin, the installation will fail, this is normal on n3DS.

I haven't updated yet (I'm on 4.5 still) (not crazy enough to potentially be left with needing to find Cubic Ninja or one of the working OoT games to get going again). I need to grab one of the EU 9.2 update cart (Gardening Mama: Forest Friends Cooking Mama: Bon Appetit! ) , so it'll be whichever is on those. If only one works I can get that one. Not like those games are hard to find.

4.5.0 - 10E (though I did update via Fire Emblem Awakening (PAL) from an early Firmware but it was still 4.something (I don't know what it was exactly)).
I don't know, I just checked the folder into the rxTools pack and I saw that there are no titles for n3DS, and n3DS & o3DS h&s app are differents.
Ok so if you update the result will be a 9.2.0-10E and you can launch rxTools through the browser with this version. But you will have to update the browser after that if you want to install the mset exploit without a DS flashcard.
hey peeps, I have a O3ds firmware 4.5 and rxtool RX3D 9.9.0-26 everything else works fine bu when I try to enter the Eshop it gives me a prompt to update firmware :/ why is that??
Probably one item on your device (browser, something) is out of date and it wants to update, get a firmware spoofer and this shouldnt be an issue.
Yes there was no solution to dump his 2.0 update without cubic ninja...
A 2.0 backup was better but the title that I search is the "nver" so the "-4" because we don't have any nver below -10 and I think that it's why the 2.0 update doesn't want to boot... Also it will be pretty hard for me to work on a USA update because all the work that I made was on EUR titles ^^ So, restart from the begining...
Every versions have a nver, even if it's -0 !

Yes! MSET installed. Thank you all (specifically @pakrett and @piratesephiroth ) for putting up with my stupidity. I'll probably still have a lot of questions, but this problem has been resolved. I think I can actually think of one right now, which would be, what happens if I update my sysNAND using sysUpdater? Will my MSET be removed, or is it safe to update to 9.2?
