i dont even know why people even bother with time trials being cheated or not lol who the hell cares even if it was real someone made a hack and made it in 1 second? it makes no diference to me its not affecting anyone its just a score if people cheated on the actual race that would bug me but a time trial como on grow up guys, even if it was true it wouldnt even matter.
People who work hard to reach records on time trials disagree. Ruining a single race online is just a moment of anger but time trials is basically permanent and a big problem.
while it might not ruin the game for you or i, there is undoubtedly a community of people who focus specifically on competitive lap times, and while it might not actually be much of a concern for them as they would no doubt be able to easily tell the cheats from legitimate players it would at least be annoying to have idiots messing up the leaderboard.....and really if it would have been real and the ability to cheat online really was in trolls hands do you seriously think they would limit themselves to just time trials cheating
while i would personally like to have the exploit running on the latest FW or the ability to access to eshop and play online on older FW's i can also see that it would undoubtedly lead to a much less enjoyable online experience for everyone else, and while i might enjoy hacking games and using mods i dont think they should really be allowed to run rampant and ruin everyone elses enjoyment of the game be it time trials or online races

i never really understood the ethos of an online cheater . So you win unfairly and yet somehow you feel your better than the rest . Its as if they can persuade themselves to forget they cheated . deluding themselves into being victorious .. why cheat.. ok so your shit at the game . any other reasons ? i just dont know ... im even more baffled as to why people would endeavour to produce hacks for just this reason . Ruining the trying gamers experience.

Even if someone did manage to do something in this context, it doesn't mean it had anything to do with MN1, NWP, Hykem, crediar, or anyone. It could be some nobody basement hacker who just wants the world to burn. Don't just point fingers like a child. If you can't compose yourself in somewhat of a mature tone, I don't think you should be trying to work on something like this, more so if you don't even understand without guiding hands how to setup every single thing.
The thread has become laughable, and not due to those working on bringing homebrew and the access hacks to begin with, but because of users thinking they deserve some kind of reward for watching the thread. You don't. You don't even deserve what they made, you have no entitlement to any of their work. It's just a desire, and y'all need to learn how to control it. I hope you know that we're probably not the only people that are looking for kernel exploits. Maybe somebody else figured it out. Not everything in WiiU hacking is tied to us.
Even if this is fake, the statement above stands true.
I can see where you're coming from, but there's also some pretty darn neat cheat codes which help to find hidden/debug stuff in games. So there's value in developing for that reason. But online cheating is a definite nope in my books to be honest. Although piracy is literally a crime so I don't put online cheating quite as low as criminality.
pyGecko is basically an RPC so technically there's something already ported to kernel.
We also have a sekrit version of RPC that makes the read and write commands use kern_read()/kern_write(). But as shinyquagsire23 said, pyGecko already acts as an RPC system, and it's more advanced. Plus the kern_read()/kern_write() changes are pretty self-explanatory, and you can just drop them into examples/rpc (to make examples/krpc?).
You can't run stuff in the background of a game, since the Wii only had one PPC core, but of course you could still run something like RPC (it would just monopolize CPU time).
