Here is a little list of some issues I had

Game Related-

After Burst - Slight graphic glitch when start is pushed
Battle Arena Toshinden - SGB palette doesn't work
Bionic Commando Elite Forces - Slight graphic glitches when changing screen (mostly the intro)
Dr. Franken II - Graphic glitches on first exit
Dragon Slayer - Doesn't start on GB bios, but loads fine when on GBC bios
Kid Dracula - when "Start" is pushed the screen is suppose to go blank - on gameyob it stays on the menu screen then loads the story
Pac-In-Time - Doesn't load the first level
Resident Evil Gaiden - Missing text on intro and in game
(Long Title) Daiku no Gen-san - Robot Teikoku no Yabou - Voices don't play
Mr. Do - Shows logo then blank screen
Bomb Jack - Starts up with no menu while music is playing
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and Heiankyo Alien - doesn't show the pause screen
Namco Gallery Vol.2 (Galaxian) Missing enemy graphics
Wendy - Every Witch Way - locks up after finishing the level 2-2
ZAS - Missing graphics
Noted, although it would be great if you could put these in the compatibility list. Better to keep all the game issues in one place.
Emu Related -

-"Auto" doesn't color all gb games I thought leaving it on auto will use the GBC recolor on the boot screen, but it stays black and white
-When changing colors on a SGB game makes the colors go blank
-Recent update of gameyob has the custom borders glitchy
-pretty rough audio on some games (mostly pokemon)
1. This is intended behavior, not all games have an automatic colorized palette. If you want one, you'll need to assign it manually through the option.
2-3. Fixed in 1.0.1.
4. Yeah, the audio does have a few crackles. It's because I have to use the CSND service, which isn't all that great for streaming audio.
Is just here or the last version breaks borders? Also, would be nice if you put a About menu who give your credits and inform the current version of the app.
As I mentioned, the border issue is fixed in 1.0.1. Also, there's already a version info screen that you can get to from the main menu.

If I have time I'll make a compatibility list of all the games I have (like more then 300)

Edit: I forgot to add another issue

- changing games has a chance of making the top screen flicker and cause slow framerate, input lag on the menu and make it crash when you push "quit to launcher"

There's one linked on the first page if you want to add to that.

A "chance"? Any specific details? Is it reproducible?

I check it again

-Changing scale with borders on can randomly cause the screen to zoom in and out.

I think if you play for a while and then change scale it causes that

also

-Changing games with borders on can sometimes cause the border to slowly flicker on and off and cause pretty bad slowdowns and input lag on the menu.

Again it happens randomly

Edit: Here's a video

Ignore the background sound (I got a little lazy to remove the sounds)

Can you elaborate? Isn't that what the scaling is supposed to do, zoom the picture in and out? :P

I confirm this issue occured here too. As said previously, it's totaly random, so i can't reproduce it on demand. Tested on 9.9 vanilla "old" 3DS with ironhax installed.

GameYob 1.0.2 is up.
  • Support borders of any size, centered on the screen.
  • Allow exiting from the file chooser by pressing B in the root directory.
By zooming I meant its repeatedly doing it back and forth and you can't control it
I haven't fully looked into your issues yet, but just in case, can you let me know if they're still present on this version? I'm having trouble reproducing them for testing.

Yes, map and use the "FF toggle" key in the input options.
will this emulator support the 3d view in future? like the original gbc mode on 3ds?
As in the 3D effect of the GameBoy border in Virtual Console? No, it would take more effort and CPU time than its worth.

Hello guys, I made some borders I'd like to share. I hope you enjoy!
sir @mallocup77, just want to know what type of png should i save a certain background in order for it to show properly in gameyob without distortion...

sir @Steveice10, does the gameyob team stopped developing the "gameyob nds"?

sgb border feature works on the "gameyob nds" but it doesnt work on "gameyob 3ds"
can you port the sgb border feature on "gameyob 3ds"?

thanks

I've updated GameYob to 1.0.3. BMP borders are now supported.

GameYob still gets updates. As for SGB borders, it's on the list of things to do, I just haven't been able to figure it out or get around to it.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
