this is outdated, all it did was dump the ticket.db file from nand.
usually, CFW is emunand. unless you are using something like pbt etc
what is your problem?

Thanks mate for the reply. I'm really stuck on this problem, I've read your post and you sound like you could figure this out. What I'm trying to do it run .cia on a update emunand because PBT only supports 4.* firmware.
I've tried updating PBT but the cia does not work anymore. I had a look at your funkycia 2 post. Is it possible to run CIA that on a CFW (PBT) to run on GW Emunand?By using Funky cia 2? or is funkycia only works with clean cia? Thanks.

it doesn't sound like you have a gw card - so gw emunand is not going to work for you, you need the card.
if you do not have emunand, get the gw launcher, and create emunand. (you can do that without the gw card)
then, get rxtools. you can update to the latest fw (9.7), and the emunand will work. you can go on the shop etc. --- but rxtools does not support piracy.

so, basically all the cia stuff you install that you find online will not work there. (apart from 'preinstalled'/universal legit cia games)

I don't think rxTools supports 9.7 yet, I checked yesterday, but it didn't work.

it does. not 'officially', like roxas did not say it works, but people tested and it works. (not sure why not for you though?... sorry)

I'll have to reexamine that then, TO update, you boot into the emunand and go into settings and update right?

Thank you very much for explaining that in laymen terms. I've been reading a lot of posts and you've made me understand that it's not possible to do what I thought could be done. Looks like I'll have to wait until PBT update their firmware version. I have an idea, my sysnand is on 4.4 and since PBT works on the sysnand would it be possible to update the sysnand to 9.5 and then run PBT? Or does PBT only run on 4.*?

So there is no way for me to get CFW cia working on emunand/sysnand through Funkycia2 or another method that you know of?

Strangely, someone suggested that it could be reset through Formatting System Memory (FSM). So I am a bit confused and not sure which suggestion is correct :wacko:

Could someone else also confirm that ticket.db could not be reset through FSM, and why ?

Subject to other's confirmation, it seems that I have no choice but to restore my NAND 9.2 to a previous version, and leave it intact from now on, sadly.

this ticket dumper is outdated, use decrypt9 instead to dump your ticket.db for creating cias using funky or grovy cia.

Also there are better cfws out today than rxTools and they all support emunand. I would suggest Aureinand or Cakes CFW, they have the same features as the current rxtools and more, but implemented in a better way, and they get updated more frequently.

Edit: I should not try to answer threads before going to bed, thought this was the newest question xD
