I thought this would be a fun topic to discuss your best gaming haul at a garage or yard sale to date? State what you got in the deal and the amount of money you paid for it.

Mine was a Super Nintendo pickup in 2013. Fortunately, the plastic body wasn't yellow from the sun (some SNES tend to do when they are exposed). For a mere $7.00 CAN, I picked up:

- An SNES with one controller
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario All-Stars
- 4 other SNES sports games (that aren't worth mentioning)
- SNES RF Cable
- SNES power/audio cables

I'm curious! What was yours? ^_^

Been a while since I went on a scavenge! Don't think I'll ever beat my Sega Saturn swoop one sunday though:

Shining Force III
Saturn Bomberman
Croc
& Some crappy sports game...

All 4 for £1! - I already had a copy of Shining Force III and Saturn Bomberman, so simply sold them on ebay for £50 & about £20 respectively! :D
(thee watch, my next post will probably involve me slagging off the scalpers that sell on Amiibo figures... )

A few years ago I managed to find a copy of Panzer Dragoon Orta at a car boot sale. Paid £2 for it, boxed mint. Sold it on eBay a couple of days later, got £74 for it. Not a bad day.

Oooh, one of the EA ones.... NHL 97 seems to ring a bell. I remember it wasn't long after my eldest was born as I was going round a car boot sale (UK talk there ehh! Basically a big car park where peeps pay, open up their car boot, and sell all the shit they managed to cram in it) with him in a pram - he's now 15 years old! yes, old fart here!

Did a similar thing with Saga (again, on the Saturn), but mine was my own copy that I'd completed... remember buying it on launch for £30, sold it, unboxed!, for £121!

A perfectly good Dreamcast (if a bit dirty) with VMUs, controllers, cords, and a couple of games for just a couple of dollars all together. I got them, cleaned them up (I've found bed bugs and cockroaches in used consoles before), then saved it as a Christmas gift for when I visited my little brother. He had started getting into more "retro" consoles, so he liked it.

Its worth that much in the EU??? Holy crap, I can get the US copy for like 10 bucks here .-. Thats crazy
There was a point where Gamestation would give you £95 in store credit for a mint copy of it. Don't even get me started on what they'd give you for a boxed mint copy of Steel Battalion with that massive controller.
