Is There An Iso Out There That Could Softmod My Xbox?
Just A Disk Nothing Else, Is It Possible?

There's an iso you can burn that runs on you pc (must have ide connections in it though) and you can use the "hotswapping method" to softmod the hdd itself, but you'll need not only an old computer but also a molex y splitter. If you have an old pc lying around, i'd say its the cheapest route to take and you'll get the same functionality as softmodding other ways...

There is no magic disk you can burn and pop into your xbox to mod it though. You need a custom dashboard and/or linux to run unsigned code. Once that's done you're good. Its just a matter of "tricking" the xbox to get the custom dash or w/e on there.

If you want to continue using your xbox for xbox games and backups you will definately need a custom dashboard. You can still install linux on a seperate partition if you'd like, but if all you install is linux and wipe out the official M$ dashboard/custom dashboard you just turned your xbox into an older pc and will lose the ability to run any and all xbox games. If you're interested in linux, I strongly suggest partitioning your hdd and doing both a custom dash and linux.
