The opening post didn't list Kirby 64, yes, but by the same logic as the OP had, I assumed that if it would work, it would work with all the games that had that GC controller symbol on the page. As that is the only 64 VC game on the Wii U I have, I can only test that game. As I said before; if someone can get it to work, than I have been proven wrong, but as of this moment I say that the GC adapter isn't recognised when playing VC games.

If that's true then it's Nintendo's fault for falsely advertising the GameCube controller to be usable.

That'd be cool but the WUPC has become my "Mario Kart 8 Controller". Love using it for MK8 although I wish the big N would add another DLC pack with new racing stages and battle tracks.

That'd be cool but the WUPC has become my "Mario Kart 8 Controller". Love using it for MK8 although I wish the big N would add another DLC pack with new racing stages and battle tracks.

That's weird, why wouldn't the NA site show the same thing?

Maybe someday I'll get a WUPC, I dunno when though.

For the same reason SM64 doesn't show it either, i even tried SM64 and it never seen my Gamecube Adapter

Then it's a typo on Nintendo's end, because they stated that it only works for SSB4 -_-

This thread is dumb. Those gamecube controller marks are for the Wii VC versions, not the Wii U ones, and the GC adapter doesn't work in vWii mode.

Those pages are for the Wii U version not the Wii.

No they're not, they're just the generic page for that game. Mario Tennis only has a Wii VC release. All the others have been released on Wii before at some point.

I thought the Wii-U versions used their own VC, not the Wii's VC though. If it says GameCube controllers work on the Wii-U version (rather than the Wii/vWii version like Mario Tennis) then it should work. Otherwise they need to be alerted of their mistake.

Different division of Nintendo. The uk site has shared pages between Wii VC and Wii U VC, with no disclaimer about the Gamecube controller being Wii only.
