Thanks a lot for those who worked and contributed to this project.
Unsung heroes indeed!

I played this years ago but was so intrigued by the storyline and their dialogues etc.
I've forgotten most of the items/op parts for sure haha

Help Needed !!
1) English Text Editor - Seriously needed now.
Who can make English become better English. Especially the English Native Speaker.

2) Graphic/Rom Hacker - To help discover more translatable data.
Danikk's on the job with others. Do tell if you want to help as well.

3) Graphic Designer (Image Editor) - Will be seriously needed soon.
It's the image editing when we have to translate images from Japanese to English.
Of course we have to make font and color feel like the original Japanese game.

Former opening post...
Hello guys...since this is my first post
i hope we get along
so back to the topic...
currently i in making english translation for this game

so far...i am able to translate most of the menu
like battle menu and briefing room menu(can see at attached files)

and I able to extract the CPK data for the game
by using CRIPackedFileMaker....
then I already found the pilot data,MS data and some skill

and what really bother me is about the ID's number that I extract from the CPK data
is not arrange properly(see at attached files no.3)(the left one before extract and right one after extract)

so when I built the data and put back to game's ISO
the game stuck and then my psp turn off

can someone help me to arrange the ID's number properly??

*ps(sorry for my bad english, since english is no my primary language)

Edit: Done with All pilot andpilot skill
All MS Name and abilities
also with MS ablities and all Option Parts
(but not sure if it 100% accurate)(still dont translate G Gundam MS)

I'm still in the middle of doing 2nd pass on the translation and cooperating with Cleansweep on suspicious lines that he came across during his edition. My semester just started its 1st week again and trying to fit my bioclock to the new schedule.

In storyline translation, there are dying quotes for stage-specific characters. However, since you get to deploy your own chosen units/pilots for each stage, their dying messages/quotes have to be stored elsewhere. I'm guessing that Pique is indicating that these are likely stored in either eboot.bin/ID19199 the others are working on.

New Update:
As you can see in the new opening post I'm working on a TXD editing tool (TXD is the format used for the texture by the game). My tool, while still work-in-progress has reached the stage where it can be used to convert txd files png files, edit them (with an image editing program, not the tool), and then convert back into txd files. I share the tool now for everyone to use in this or any other project.
Here is the link for the it (the tool at this link will be updated ocassionally): https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uog89fyypxvzkrj/AAD7bHT3abDXtuXNOtBOFCOpa?dl=0
3) Graphic Designer (Image Editor) - Will be seriously needed soon.
It's the image editing when we have to translate images from Japanese to English.
Of course we have to make font and color feel like the original Japanese game.
I asked my sister, who often works with graphics if she is interested in helping us (she is also a fan of the game series), and she said yes, I gave her an extracted image now, she will post her results later here.

I think they are those, that your characters say after the battle, when your units health is down below 50% (for damaged quotes), or when they die.

Yes. Right. When your own chosen characters (not Guest characters in the mission) are severed damage or dying, their dying messages/quotes have been stored in ID19199.

I like this, aside from the white border on Critical and Super Crit spilling over on to the name area.

That said, we really need to get rid of those periods between the first and last names, plus tweak the Zombie name.

That stuff is Q/A closer to the end. We'll worry about clean up once we've got all our systems working. I've got a version of the ID19199 that doesn't have those issues which we can always use if need be.
Regarding the minor spill over, yes I agree. I quite like her work and said spill over could easily be tweaked.

Got a question, its off topic, but does anyone know if that game translation, Amagami SS, is dead or delayed because i haven't heard from the translation team in quite a while, if anyone knows the situation of the translation project, please let me know.

Erm... given the fact that's totally another team and none of us here really has the right to give their status. Best to check their website... someone listed it on Hagrun & Ghanmi's helpful thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-english-translation-projects-list.369474/page-8

Isn't it normal thing in the original that the white border spilling over on to the name area?
(Is the white border comes from the image work?
Or is it comes from the in-game's auto generated effect?)

Here are the JP version screenshots by the way.

The spilling is not part of the text itself, it is an effect on that. Although the borders cames from the same image file, and belongs to these texts, so I also changed them a bit for better fit to the new texts, but didn't change those size.

How much programming knowledge do you all want your editors to have? I'd be happy to edit the translated text, but I wouldn't know how to put it into the game.

Very little to none programming knowledge needed.

Editors just needed to understand the using of special character key like $s9, $n, $e, ...etc
And then know how to translate a line within a limited space.
Editors work on Google Doc and my Dialog Editor Tool (which is a lot easier than using MadEdit but you can also use MadEdit).
We will take care of the text reinsertion into the game.

@CleanSweep is the main and lone editor right now.
If you are interested, we will contact you.
