Can't get this eshop release working.

Old US 3DS with latest Gateway launcher and emunand 9.9. Downloaded the release from 3 diferent sources. Toshiba 16 GB micro SD, no problems with other games. Used gw3ds.exe to prevent possible defrag-errors. 3ds file is untrimmed.

When i select the game in the GW menu, it's logo appears in the card slot, when i then try to start it, the game gets stuck at the "3DS wave-logo" screen.

:wtf: Anyone?

Now that you mention it.. that could be. The game is really new. I wonder that i can't find a cryptofixed version. This whole new encryption thing... is GW about to lose it's 100% rom compatiblity?

Well, I have about 50+ games installed so not 100% loss, but any new games will have to be cryptofixed. So far we've been lucky that they are able to be fixed, I think this means they don't have the new encryption in place in the game itself, they just require the encryption features from 9.6. That's just from reading here though, I have no evidence to back it up.

Edit: On the O3DS and GW compatibility I see your point. And yeah, there's no way around that outside of buying a N3DS to run these new games.

Is it actually hard to cryptofix a game? For an average user like me?

I haven't done it, but it requires a N3DS on 9.6+ firmware to buy and install the game from eShop, then exporting the ticket and seed file to work some magic on, then downgrading via hardmod to a -9.6 FW to test.

There're also some eshop games coming out that are N3DS only, like Binding of Isaac.
So, even crytofix won't help with those. Expect more and more N3DS only eshop titles in the coming year.

I tested this game on my N3DS, it doesn't work, needs to be cryptofixed.

There is something you could try on O3DS, is go into the eshop and view the game in eshop, then try loading it, sometimes this works. But you would need to install the CIA version first.

Well If Nintendo has shown me ANYTHING these last few years, its that the N3DS=DSi. Since its launch last year we've gotten, what? 2 or 3 N3DS EXCLUSIVE games. I don't think the big N is going to flood the market with N3DS exclusives and screw over their main userbase. Crypto fixing is finicky at best, hell, I was able to play Gunstar Heroes 3d and Streets of Rage 2 3D without crypto fixing although people were complaining that they NEEDED it lol

No, i also don't think many N3DS-only titles will be released. There's profit to be made. VideoGame Companies aren't charitable organisations (and this is NO criticism). If you bar out all O3DS owners, you'll lose a lot of money. Nintendo will surly make a few exclusiv titles to push N3DS sales, but thats it.

Oh. Well... too expensive/uncomfortable/awkwark for me. So i'll have to wait until some hardworking people are doing it for me. Do you think Gateway will come up with an update to make cryptofixing needless?

Binding of Isaac was cryptofixed and does work. Same with the Attack on Titan game. I have both installed cryptofixed and can play them both without issue. I didn't cryptofix myself, they were the scene releases.

I'm sorry to bother asking, but could you be so kind to upload the cryptofixed version of Attack on Titan, because the original link is down and I can't find another? It seems like the only working version.
