You guys think it would be smart to start setting up NNID for my consoles now just in case it is something from the eshop? None of my 3DS consoles have one registered to them since I heard somewhere they're bad for resale down the line...
edit: now that I think about, the whole 'might not be necessary' thing could mean you don't need to be on 9.9, which means you don't need eshop access. Hmm...

Unless you updated past 9.2, you really don't need Cubic Ninja with an o3ds xl.
Everyone here seems to be thinking that the free hax will be a eshop download, and I am part of those people, but smealum stated multiple times that updating to 9.9 won't be required, so could it be that he found a way to spoof eshop access from only ninjhax 2 and eventually gspwn to access some more services?

Personally I HATE the Nintendo ID. It is just plain awful for resale as you are only allowed to change a few things associated with the ID. Plus cartridges are always best as when you want to sale for another system you can get more bang for it.
But if you have nothing on your sysnand for eshop games that you bought than you can hook an ID to sysnand to just get the free games and demos. But attaching your hard earned money to purchased eshop games is not a bright idea. Plus what I found out is if I have 3 systems with no ID on any of them, I can keep transferring and merge the games. But with a ID you are at the mercy of Nintendo to merge them on their end. But it will require some talking to as they keep bringing up their TOS of software is tied to the individual. Bunch of bullcrap if you ask me.
