now with WII U if they can't even deliver one zelda game, one game from one of their biggest franchises for their current HW gen before it is dead then this signals the demise of nintendo, and total failure
Calm down Nintendo has said time and time again it's coming out on Wii U. Maybe, MAYBE it was ALSO come out on the NX, but that's speculation. Also, this is an open world Zelda game. It's gonna be super big and super ambitious, so cut them some slack. Nintendo has never rushed a Zelda game. That's why they are all so good.

Well Majora's Mask was the product of a challenge to crank one out quickly, but that actually turned out really well so we don't think of it as rushed.

Their may be 2 different versions. It would be smart for Nintendo to launch the new zelda on the nx and the wii u. They did it with twilight princess. You know the new zelda would make people buy a NX. All they have to to do is launch on nx first then in a few months launch zelda on Wii U.
I can easily seem them doing this. Perhaps its the reason there was no metroid to be seen for wii U. There was nothing major announced at e3. I think thats because its all being made for the NX. Its the only thing that makes sense. I bet its also why no zelda was shown at e3. So Zelda On NX at e3 next year is my Bet.
"Please Understand" Your body will be ready.
If Nintendo's planning on using gimmicks again for their next console, fuck that, I just want to play Zelda 2016 with a traditional controller on the couch. The stupid ass GamePad only serves as a mini TV for most games which is pointless to me as I prefer to look at the HDTV instead.

i guarantee it will have at least one gimmick and they don't want it stolen
I'm surprised Nintendo didn't release "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Remaster" this year to make up for the lack of a yearly Zelda game (when you combine 3DS and Wii U). I would've really liked to try SS with a traditional controller although it works pretty decently with the Wiimote too.

Well, there's going to be a Zelda game on 3DS so they're filling that yearly agenda.

My opinion: They should drop it for NX for an extra level and better graphic like The Last Guardian which was planned for PS3 but they dropped it for PS4 instead. Wise decision. Just saying. :)

They could offer two graphical versions: Cartoony and Gritty Realistic (just like Twilight Princess).

I'm still pissed they're not going to release this on Wii U or the next Nintendo home console [maybe they will]:

That's just a tech demo, which they stated from the very start. Just like the tech demo from space world 2000 was never intended to be a game, but just a tech demo.
Sure it was a tech-demo but at the same time it got fans hyped for a new Zelda ala Twilight Princess and then what's actually in the works is another cel-shaded/cartoony-looking Zelda title.

That fucking Hyrule Warriors as shit as it may be at least it has some pretty cool visuals.

It seems like making ZeldaU a launch title for the NX is a highly logical thing to do. It can help the NX sell more at launch. Perhaps Ninty will launch it for the WiiU and NX, just like Twilight Princess was released on both the GameCube and Wii. As for the WiiU it would be nice to see Twilight Princess and Skyward sword remastered in HD and looking the way they should have when they were released. I don't understand why Nintendo can't hire some third party like Grezzo (they did OoT 3D) to remaster their old games in HD while Ninty works on new games. Wind Waker HD sure sold well enough. Maybe they'll do that on the NX.

It will happen for the WiiU and that's a fact don't panic! There never going to have a Nintendo generation home console without a Mario 3D title and a Zelda title going for it, even if it does flop. That has never happened in the past and I doubt very much it will happen now!!!

Well, they better get to work, because 3D World is at best a 2.5D Mario game.

I think there's a certain level of reputation holding them back from HD remakes galore. They already have the virtual console, so it's not like people who want to play the old games NEED a remake, so if they push out
HD remakes like no tomorrow people will lose respect for Nintendo and assume they can't produce quality new games. It doesn't matter if they are pushing out good games as well. People will still look down on them.
