SYSNAND 9.8?
This will be for sure released

Anyway, they are the better re-searchers and 3DS reverse engineers
maybe this could be a lie from them to make you buy a GW flashcart

Gateway team said they were working in 6.X support the same day they released their flashcard and... guess what? They only released after Ninjhax was a thing. I really doubt Gateway team will achieve anything before other hackers do...

You are right, but there is still some few people that prefer playing .3ds games than .cia games and theres also a lot of people that prefers buying a flashcard than installing a Cwf (I dont know why). Also if you have 2 micro sd cards you can use one for cias and the other one for .3ds

i like em both cia and .3DS if there were real things i could sleep with i would.

You know how you can tell thee is no 9.8 support around the corner? They are not telling people with 9.3-9.7 to update to 9.8 and stay there, like they did a few months before the 9.2 release.

It is irrelevant because of 3DSNUS and installer tools. You can upgrade to it at any time. Their concern was for N to release 9.3 before they could launch and people would be SOL.

Website is down right now

That happens a lot because of their host. People have speculated every time about them up and quiting but it never happened before. GW is making huge profits so I doubt they will abandon the cart anytime soon.

Over a year since, so what's the latest sysNAND that Gateway supports?

I'm confused, in the manual:
  • Requirement: A 3DS on a firmware version between 8.x and 9.2
While in their site:
  • Works on 2DS, 3DS & 3DS XL firmware up to 10.7
That 10.7, is it support for sysNAND up to that, or...?

Nice necro-bump dude.

But whatever.
Gateway only supports a SysNAND up to 9.2. Anything after that cannot boot into an EmuNAND, BUT anything up to 10.7 is capable of performing a downgrade to 9.2 firmware.
Once you've set up an EmuNAND, that EmuNAND can be updated to 11.1 firmware, which is the latest available.

That said it's not a good idea to use Gateway any more. You can do everything and more without a Gateway flashcart at all, look up arm9loaderhax (a9lh), Luma3DS custom firmware (cfw), and the Plailect Guide.

Okay, rant time.

RANT STARTS BELOW! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I love how the A9LH fanboys purposely ignore the fact that Gateway has an in-game cheat menu.
NTR has 'cheats', yes, but it's not nearly as simplified as Gateway's cheat menu (although NTR does have one caveat - the code.bin memory region can be dumped with NTR, but not with Gateway), and requires per-game 'plugins' to have any 'cheat' functionality at all.

NTR doesn't have a 'Hex Viewer/Editor' available for every game which you can view practically at the touch of a button (for NTR, you need to connect to a PC first and run NTR Debugger, select the CORRECT process, then open Hex View in the program), nor is it very noob-friendly (see previous point). Gateway isn't perfect, but it DOES have something NTR on A9LH lacks - simplicity. So please stop saying that A9LH is superior to Gateway in EVERY SINGLE WAY, and above all, STOP SAYING GATEWAY IS IRRELEVANT.

~Rant ends here~

Thank you and have a great day.

A9LH is an entrypoint. Gateway is a CFW that can boot through A9LH. You can't compare them.

That is, unless you want to compare Gateway to NTR+(insert any free CFW here), then your argument is valid.

Using Gateway with A9LH:

I know that Gateway can be used with A9LH. I never was comparing the two. I was simply stating that Gateway isn't irrelevant.

STOP SAYING GATEWAY IS IRRELEVANT.

All the A9LH fanboys are saying lately that A9LH is 'superior' to Gateway, and that everyone should 'ditch their Gateway carts', which is a load of bull, because as you said, you can't compare the two. I'm getting tired of hearing it.

I don't think anyone is saying a9lh is superior to Gateway, that would be like saying ducks are superior to paint. They're not the same category of thing.

Thanks for the responses, they helped clear some things up on my side. ;)

I'm not versed enough in the 3DS scene, so to prevent confusing people like me with things like this:

Shouldn't the sticky threads or the Wiki, or both, be updated, and I don't know, other relevants?
