There actually is a way to install devmenu (and thus savedatafiler and other cia files) onto your 3DS without needing to use a flashcart or ninjhax. It involves wirelessly transmitting the files onto your 3DS using its IP address, and your PC as the transmitter. For more info, I suggest looking at the "Install Pasta CFW without Cubic Ninja" topic on this site.

Random stupid question....

Semi related, you can't create "passwords" using this tool to put into the game's password section to give yourself gems for those of us who can't use the tool can you? It's a VERY long shot I know, just figured I would ask the dumb question, and probably get my more than likely obvious answer :-P (Since they DID just update the game, didn't know if you had been able to weed out anymore secret passwords)

There IS a bit of a caveat regarding the wireless-network exploit: you NEED to have the browser already on your 3DS in order to use it! Otherwise, you will keep getting a "failed to connect" error on the run.bat program (found along with the programs/apps you need to install Palantine CFW).

Also, in regards to rank, the game uses an 8-bit value for it, so the absolute cap is 255. However, setting your rank to 255 makes the game act as if your rank is actually "0", so you end up capturing VERY low-level Pokemon (low 20s to around 30 or so). Thus, 255 may actually be read by the game as "unranked" or something. I suggest sticking to a maximum rank of 239 (not sure about anything higher, up to 254).

BTW, I also found a way to create a nearly unkillable super-Pokemon: capture a high-powered Pokemon while at the temporary rank of 239. Then, use Scires' tool to turn it into an Yveltal, and give it a "super trait" like Excellent, Fabulous, Amazing, Epic, or something similar (that gives you access to 6 subtraits). Then, give it the following 6 subtraits: Small++, Flying Boost++, Brawny++, Snappy++, Resilient++ and Heroic++. Assign the moves Oblivion Wing and Enemy Capture Ball (beta move) to it, again using Scires' tool.

PROFIT! Even Pokemon using Bide can't (usually) kill this creature, which I like to call "Deathwing", and is my Undertaker Mii's signature Pokemon. His other is a Mega Mewtwo Y with an even higher power level (11,913 as opposed to 10,642), but Y is still prone to being killed by Biding Pokemon (due to the Reprisal effect).

Any chance that the creator of this tool can adapt it for nintendo backup .sav files?
When i unistalled pokemon rumble i could save my data as a backup unto my sd card
Do you think its possible to make a tool that can edit that backup file? Might take some time do.

all this tool does is edit a save,
passwords have nothing to do with the saves
what you asking is the equivalent of going to mcdonnals and ask them to cook the "whooper" you got from burger king
you would require to edit the game itself or run a trainer (a program that runs some code\edits ram) inside the console
this tool just edits the save data on your pc..
the data that says the passwords are valid and what they do (give you pokemons for example) is inside the game (not in the save)

There is a password to give yourself 100 diamonds, but it only works on the 1.1 version of the game (SPOILER--which comes with a Lucky Balloon, which the King gives you once you reach rank 33, or hack your rank to higher than 33 using Scires' tool). The password is 48213190 (for the North American version), or 71104779 for the European version, or 32831175 for the Japanese version. Again, you need to be at least rank 4 in order to use passwords (shouldn't be too hard to get, even without Scires' tool--capturing Pokemon, other than bosses, is actually fairly easy at first).

I know that particular one. I was wondering if anyone else had unlocked the most recent update to see if they added any new passwords (like I said, sightly related)

I believe the ONLY password they added in addition to the original ones for 1.0 (which still work) was the one for an extra 100 diamonds. It, like all the other passwords, are one use only (save for the gift Pokemon; if you release them, you can use their passwords again). However, the coolest addition to this game is the Lucky Balloon, which takes you to four randomly selected areas, and you can often catch twice as many species of toy Pokemon as a normal balloon trip (due to the sheer number of species they throw at you). Also, the boss at the end of each Lucky Balloon trip is ALWAYS sparkling (meaning, you're guaranteed to catch it). Not sure if the Lucky Balloon will let you catch legendaries, though (haven't run into one yet, but I've only used the Lucky Balloon three times so far).

Ah, I can correct you there a little bit. The boss at the end is NOT always sparkling. I found that out when I was refilling it using my pass and going repeatedly for only 1 gem at a time and hoping to rack up legendarys. Major depressing. I managed to catch the remaining 3 I needing to complete my dex and they sparkled... but from there on out, they no longer always sparkled.

The reason they don't sparkle anymore may be due to you completing the entire Pokedex ("Toydex"?). However, there is a solution to THAT, even: use the move "Enemy Capture Ball" (yes, that is its actual title, although it looks more like a Giga Drain-type move in appearance). Tagging a Pokemon with this move (ANY Pokemon in normal levels, including bosses, and all non-boss Pokemon in challenges and battle royals) will automatically turn that Pokemon into a toy, and you can then scoop it up and add it to your now much faster-growing collection!

On bosses, it will NOT automatically capture them with the move itself (it does no damage in and of itself). However, all you have to do is "tag" the boss with it, then finish the boss off normally, and voila, the boss will ALWAYS turn into a toy for you to capture.

Aaaah yes, but I can't use this tool with my New 3DS XL model. ;-) Which sucks, cuz my "best" epic Pokemon.....is an Epic Bidoof. I'm not even remotely kidding. >_>

I will try, thanks for the tip

Don't feel bad. The only genuine "epic" Pokemon I ever captured was an Epic...Pikachu, with a power level of around...104. Seriously, the Epic super-trait shouldn't become available until you've "maxed out" your Mii's rank (around 79, I think, unless 1.1 gives you Volcanion and/or Hoopa, as well, making rank 80 possible). Speaking of, I've been taking some time off from this game (just upgraded my 3DS' internal SD card to a 16 GB SDHC, so I can play Sm4sh).
