Gaming Minecraft Save File Converter

Hi i was lost as to where to post this question but i chose the ps3 content section since this would be the final result of the save file.

I know that you can take Minecraft worlds from xbox 360 and convert them to pc worlds, but can you take pc worlds and convert them into ps3 worlds?

The reason being, is that i want to sell my xbox 360 but my little sister has invested A TON of time into minecraft and i would feel horrible if i erased all of her work. I barely even played my 360 since i bought it a few years ago. I also know i can back her worlds up on a flashdrive or xbox cloud, but i wont be getting another xbox 360 so that would be pointless. We have two Ps3's in our house and i would buy minecraft for ps3 only if i know i can convert the worlds from pc to ps3.

I doubt you can, since the PC version has more content than the PS3/360 ones and even if you chose an older version, the consoles still got updates from newer builds, so it's mixed. You'd have more luck converting from 360 to PS3, since they share the same characteristics.

Do tell more.
I had no idea that could be done. Do you know of anyone claiming to have done this? Or even better a guide to doing this.

I haven't done any research, but based on what I have read about the builds, it should be doable. Do you know what is the format of the worlds on the 360?

At this current moment in time, there's no way to transfer PC saves to PS3/360 Minecraft saves to PS3.

Someone said they were looking into it ages ago, but alas nothing ever came of that.

I didn't mean the save file, just the worlds themselves. I see you can go from pc to xbox

but i need to know if the 360 worlds can convert to ps3 or the pc worlds can convert to ps3.

P.s im not sure if the worlds and save file are the same thing i honestly never played the game. i just bought it for my sister.

I've got an answer for you. It looks like there is a converter in the works to convert between Minecraft PS3 and PC, which in turns means that you can edit Minecraft PS3 in an editor and even transfer to/from Xbox One. I know this post is like a year old, but hopefully you get updates to your post and still have your save file somewhere. Good luck!
