CoD's a fun game and you know what, that actually isn't restricted to only 2 maps per 4hrs like this is. Not to mention the game as of now only has 5 maps.

I am sure it is and hope to play it someday. My point being I don't think the target market for this game is complaining about the maps, the adults are. Other than sleeping and eating my kids have been running it nonstop since 11 am yesterday.

I also suspect the limitation of 2 maps is a restriction imposed based on the results of the testfire. As usual Nintendo did not build the infrastructure to handle everything. They thought the did but we're wrong. Better this and a relatively smooth roll out than complete chaos.

As much as I hate to play the same stages I've gotten around to somewhat enjoy them, rather than spray paint the usual areas go right into the enemy's main base and paint everything.

People who use Rollers are at disadvantage but also overpowered. Curse them!

Anyway, I use one of the guns which has a great long range so it's useful to gather energy for the ultimate attack.

I usually dislike this kind of entitlement that le gamerz have with the price. But this time, I don't really blame anyone. I believe they hyped up the game WAY too much.

Edit: Another screen @

Totti's gossip? What? :P

I'm on Rank 9 as of now and really close to get a new rank but eh, there's time.

Edit: Here's something funny.

I'm already maxed level... for equipment that is

This game is seriously lacking in content.

Like, the gameplay itself is fun, but it gets horrifically repetitive very quickly. Literally only one available game mode for multiplayer as of right now, and only 3 maps to play on every three hours? Are they insane?

Every match is 2 minutes and 30 seconds long so everything goes by incredibly quick, but it just... Lacks longevity and quality to it? I'm glad they have some DLC planned and all that, but it feels like they shipped a completely unfinished game.

Can't deny I was entertained for the few hours I played, until I started gettin incredibly tired of doing basically the same thing in the same places over and over again.

I'll try and write out everything today and tomorrow, Nathan Drake was deffo right though, did not take me long to get through the content at all...

You're already rank 20? Hat's off to you. The repetitiveness is what keeps me away from playing in long sessions, still I'm on level 9 anyway so not far anyway.

I asked a friend and he sees it too.
Then I tried an US proxy and it shows the right screenshot.

I think that, whoever has an italian IP address, sees this

So how exactly are the amiibo used? I know they unlock levels and gear that are already coded onto the disc, :/ but are they one time use and then I set them on the shelf, or do I need them every time I want to use what they unlock. Will I need to hang onto them in case Nintendo reveals more stuff they decide we're allowed to unlock in the future? Do each of them unlock something different?

Also, are the amiibos region free? I'm thinking of ordering a japanese squid because Nintendo are stupid and US versions are sold out on day 1 (What the FUCK, Nintendo??)

Odd. On the piece of paper that came with the game it said the total was £22.62 ($34.58) rather than £22.95 ($35.09) so I've sent them an email if I can get that small amount (33p) as store credit for a future purchase. :P
how are you getting it so cheap? i have to buy it for £28.99

The Game Collection had it on offer and right now the game costs £24.95. I'm lvl 11 now but gonna give it a break, just not much fun in long sessions that consist of the same 1-2 maps.

I´ve played a lot this weekend, so I´m gonna leave my comments too for those who are reading this thread for reference:

Like everyone, I agree there´s lack of content (maps, game modes, weapons), but despite of that, I also found the game extremely addicting and ended up playing more than I thought I would in the first days (reached rank 11). The rotating maps MAY be good, but only when they launch more of them, for now if the 5 maps were available, it would be so much better.

There was almost no lag for me, and aside from 2 or 3 matches I´ve been disconnected, they all went smoothly. There´s some degree of strategy with every type of weapon, but I´m a fan of the Rollers. I sure hope they release a battle mode soon (where you have to aim for kills, not for painting), because that´s when most of the weapons will shine.

Only played the first 4 stages of the Story Mode, but it´s not better or worse than I expected. Since Splatoon has no real "story" or "main characters" to begin with, it´s just a bunch of linear stages where you use all the abilities available in the game. IMHO, they could make a great story if they created some heros and villains and make you a "No-name Hero" helping them. The girls from the news and the guy from the back alley have a nice design, proving they can make good original characters too (I don´t understand why the judge is a cat while everyone else is a sea creature, though).

TL;DR: this game has a lot of POTENTIAL, and I´m happy that Nintendo already announced new content for it. I don´t know how the sales were on launch, but I really hope there is interest, so Nintendo can keep investing in this new IP. They are pretty much testing the waters with this amount of content.

As for those waiting for a price drop:

Here, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is still the same price since 2009 in most stores! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!:hateit::gun:

I´m a fan of the Rollers

Rollers feel like a quick cheap way out of a battle for noobs/inexperienced players to use, just not very pleasant but despite they're overpowered it's possible to have more control of the area than them.

Anyway, new content's coming, i.e., a map and the NES Zapper.

From what I saw, a lot of early levels use Rollers (exactly because of the reasons you stated), while 10+ almost always use guns. Rollers-only and Gunners-only team were always shitty for me. But when I´m the only roller with 3 gunners to back me up, we are a lot more effective to cover territory.

That´s one more thing I forgot to mention, we absolutely NEED a way see which weapons our team plans to use, and have at least some seconds to change pre-battle. I was testing a charge gun and my team had 3 other people with charge guns, we lost horribly because those things were meant for killing, not painting...
