a friend asked for help with his tablet, this thing gets stuck at android logo for more than an hour (the logo still moves) i tried to use the reset button, but still does the same...

is there anyway i can troubleshoot this or can i connect to pc and reinstall android or check files or something?
or is there a safe mode?

this tablet looks cheap... the brand is prixton, it got a reset button, power and back button
no volume keys
slot for micro sd card

There seems to be multiple models on the internet. Can you take a picture of its front and back and post it here? It seems that a hard reset or flashing the entire system might be needed.

The models might be different but the methods are likely the same.

Plug it in to a power outlet.
Use a pin on the reset button while the tablet is plugged in to an outlet.
Keep on doing it until something comes up.
Since there are no volume buttons, perhaps the back button might be of use in the recovery menu.

sorry folk, there was no use what i could do with the reset button. as i said before, i pressed the reset button (in about 10 seconds), it changed something the first time i pressed it (the start screen changed a bit) but still got stuck on the loading...

however i solved it, i connected to the pc, used sdk tools and use the command to go into recovery menu, in recovery menu i wiped it using all options i could see, and now it works

but now i got a problem, it was working for a while, but now it seems the battery is dead, i was trying to install a calibration tool to troubleshoot it..
but now it doesn't want to charge... my friend had this tablet on a closet in 1 year or something, i suposse it needs a replacement

so my question is, where i can buy a new battery, i opened this thing up, its a standarm 7500mh battery, its soldered with 2 wires, and tape secures it on place...

since there are no battery shops here, i am guess i should try online, but have no idea where i can get a cheap one (that does the job)

A new battery is probably not even worth it for that tablet

Imo you should tell him to get a nexus 7 2013, it will be night night and day between it and that junk he was using, since its older you can get one fairly cheap

Can't find any 7500mh tablet batteries. Tons of 7000mh ones though.
Doubt they have many replacements since it was probably made to be thrown away when the battery dies

Well there are a lot of slates that have good specs for under 150 (Asus has many).
Plus spending 40 bucks on a 99 dollar tab isn't that smart

mAh shouldn't matter for compatibility if all the other specs match. Higher mAh just means more battery life per charge. The difference between 7000 and 7500 mAh is fairly minimal.

That said, I know nothing about tablets, and if this is indeed junk, it's still probably better to put the money toward a better one.
