Zelda: Oracle of Ages locks up for me when I go to the screen with Ralph right after the Maku tree disappears. This is ~10 minutes into the game. Tested on 0.5 and the latest build.

If I create a save on another emulator after talking to Ralph, but before going through the portal, then load it into GameYob, some weird things happen. The portal never shows up on that screen, and sometimes(on that screen) link will be slowed down but the game runs at full speed(60fps, music plays fine).

Worked fine when I played through recently. Did you change any settings from the default? Have you checked your micro SD card for bad sectors lately? Did you patch/trim the ROM or is your flashcart's kernel patching GameYob on boot with anything beyond DLDI patching?

Yeah, my ROM corrupted somehow. Should've checked for that first. I played through a bunch of other games recently without issue, so I didn't even think it could be because of that.

The corruption got worse after I made my last post. I couldn't even get to Nayru at the beginning of the game. I guess my MSD must be dying or something.

then delete and copy again the rom
or check the sd card with h2testw so you know if the card is not dying (i had a pen that recently started to get bad sectors) if you check with h2testw, keep in mind you have to format the card before (so you test the whole card)

and don't forget, after copy stuff into sd cards\usb drives, choose "safe removal" or eject on the computer...

Is there a way to change the display? I'd like to change the colors of some games and add colors to games that don't have color.

The speech in Pokemon Pinball for Pikachu works fine, but the speech in "TMNT: Back From The Sewers" is awful and broken. They say "Cowabunga!" and "Pizza time!".

I also think a duller, less color-popping pallet should be added. On No$GBA, it really makes games like Link's Awakening DX look amazing.

In the first post, it mentions that you can use the GBC's bootstrap to do that, like the GBC could during the boot splash.
I have no idea what the GBC's bootstrap is. Is that something I need to download? Currently all i have is the gameyob

its the game boy color bios.
you need it. but don't ask here, you have to search for yourself. since its considered "warez" (like roms. against the rules)

Thank you so much! Another question:

Does gameyob have many color pallettes that i can actually choose from like in goomba color? Also, is there an option to speed up the game and download any cheats and or hacks? If so, how do i do that?

you never tried the options on the gameyob didn't you?

do this, load a game on gameyob.
touch the screen with your finger or stylus, to acess options. press right or left to change tabs.
read that options and try around, specially thoose on display and GB modes
for make GBC bios ON, you need the bios file i spoke before
on display tab there are border options, you can select a image to use as custom border
on GB modes tab, you can change SGB and color game boy modes. try to change, some games will have color on SGB mode, others will have better color on GBC modes etc..

TAKE NOTE, AFTER CHANGING OPTIONS, RESET THE ROM\GAME (on ROM tab, just after exit, there is reset.) OTHERWISE YOU WILL NOT SEE THEESE CHANGES
i also reccomend you to go in settings tab and press A on "save settings" just to make sure.

well i downloaded the gbc bios bin file and added it to the root of my sd card, as well as the actual gbc folder itself. There is color on the games that didn't have color previously but it's auto-selected for me. I was wondering if it's possible to change the color schemes myself similar to how the "display" tab works on goomba color

you do exactly like you did on a game boy color, when starting a game and the gameboy logo appears, you can press the D pad, or a combination of A\B and the D PAD to select palletes...

i only knew this because i had a gameboy colour.. and at one time i pressed the keys and noticed different colours, so..
my favorite colour was B+up or B+down, it was inverted colours xD
That's so cool! Well, since on gameyob, you can only save with the save states, how do you switch the colors once you've already selected a save state?

Also I realized where you got me mixed up, when i said "goomba color" I was refering to the GB/GBC emulator for the gameboy advance. I didn't mean Gameboy color!

gameyob works really fine with battery saves, i only use battery saves... what did it made thought you could only use save states?

nope, i really meant a real game boy color. i guessed you never had one but i told that in the sense to let you know the gameboy colour had that option therefore, any emulator capable of using a gbc bios can change palletes, but some emulators like goomba got their own options for that...

the L hdmi cables work great on my tv and receiver. so much less stress on the ports using them than regular cables. in that instance anyway.
