My friend has Cubic Ninja, so if I boot the CFW, install a .cia installer, is it safe to close the 3DS so it's in sleep mode all night? If I open the 3DS again, is it still in CFW mode?
Also, is it safe to remove the SD card so I can put something on it, and then back in the 3DS while it's in sleep mode?

Thanks in advance!

I'm going to assume it only leaves cfw mode if you

1. Turn off the 3ds
2. Enter the settings
3. Quit Super Smash bros or MH4 on O3DS (shouldn't quit on N3ds)

Don't remove the sd card while the system is on.

I assume the whole idea behind this is so you can keep some games. A different solution is to install legit cia which don't require to be in CFW mode to boot. Not all games are available like this but the big ones like Smash, Fire Emblem, Pokemon , MH4U and MM are.

You can remove the sd card if nothing run in background I always do that. (Not in emunand but pasta is sysnand only)

Dude, just install ftpbronie so you can transfer without pulling the sd.

After hearing about eShop spoofing, it perked my interest. Sure, this would allow you to play games, but atm, I'm just doing homebrew under 9.2 with Ninjhax (which meant I couldn't use the eShop). Still unsure about taking the plunge to try this because I'm real hesitant about doing anything to my 3DS right now. It wasn't a problem soft-modding vWii because of the years of hacking and reverse-engineering that took place before I jumped on that. I'll give this a little more time first.

So, either 9/10 of my CIAs are bad, or there is something wrong
I tried to install Blazblue, Tekken and Super Mario Bros 2 and I got the error
This cia is invalid (0xD8E0906A)
At 99% of the install

Anyone working on emunand support :)?
I wanna be able to play Xenoblade and be on the latest version.

What is the version for xenoblade ? -> 9.4 found it

Edit: I think you can play it, if its a retail version, with a gateway 9.4 emunand in classic mode.

Er... the eShop patch dates back to 4.X in terms of how it works and Pasta itself is 8 bytes changed in memory on a controlled reboot of the home menu. No particular danger that stands out there.

Any progress on Spider support? Saw that you mentioned that you're working on it and I was wondering if it's still being worked on.

Stablilty of existing releases if a priority.
I ask for that, because if it's working, I can go work on new features.
Without answer I'm chained here.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
