It seems everyone is missing the point though. Nintendo is still forcing region locks due to regional differences, in this case, English-UK being used on a US game. If they aren't going to enforce their restrictions then remove region locking.

EDIT: Surprised this thread got moved back from EOF >_>

Overentitled yank attitude from Neptune. (OP)

We have to stomach all your shite, hear your accents where they don't belong in movies, and have to hear the worlds history rewritten from the American point of view.

You use a bastardized version of what can pass as english, and I don't mind one bit.

You forget the most important factor. This game was localized FOR US in europe. It was only through campaigning that you even got it.

I seriously hope you travel outside of your inflated, pompous, stolen lands and learn a bit more out there in the rest of the civilized world.

I replied to the wrong comment didn't I? uhh... sorry... whoever I replied to :(

Yep. I did. Supposed to aimed at the OP, from Neptune.

Neptune. King of a sea, nowhere near America :P

The dev team was extremely lazy with the region differences between US/UK. The US games is using all of the UK text. If I wanted to play it in English-UK I would have purchased the EUR copy. In fact, I stopped playing my ROM because of it. I then start playing my US copy and it's the same damn text. "organisation" "defence" and others. Even as I type this my Chrome is throwing flags on those words because they aren't English-US spellings. This is bad especially for kids playing it since it teaches them the incorrect way to spell words here.

EDIT: Apparently I have to clarify because people can't seem to understand or read correctly. I played Eur ROM a week early in anticipation of my US version arriving last week.

Oh please, destroyers of the language. You have face to criticize reading UK English when your children "could of" tried to learn writing but weren't bothered?
You have so many unintelligible dialects around the USA, specially the southern English and the horrid Spanglish spoken by an amusing amount of your population.
Hell, give me English and it is ok, give me Spanish and it is ok, but that latin-cool-bro abomination many of your citizens speak hurts my mind.
I didn't hear whiny people complaining in the times where "All your bases are belong to us".
Cope with it already.

PS: Two translations are too costly to pull off when you already can understand UK... Or you can't?

That's either "could've" or "could have" ;)

Did the text in the Wii version use British spellings as well? I don't remember that...

If true, it really is pretty darn lazy. All they had to do was a find --> replace.

The game is boring anyway. Where I live, the game must be sold with french language aswell. Does it have french for Québec and Europe ?

Pip'
actually, does it?

are our french games in Quebec Francais, or France Francais? Also do I have to find the setting in the menu, or does it detect system language? I am planning to start playing in french to help strengthen the language, since I don't speak to many people in french, and it got really rusty :/

The American 3DS selects Spanish or English in-game based on the System configuration automatically. I suppose it should be the same for French and Portuguese.
As for the European 3DS, it sure does it automatically.

Multi3 or multi anything else in scenes releases means the number of languages in the game dump.

Here multi3 stand for English, French and Spanish.
