Hardware Have Nintendo Stopped Putting Seals On New 3DS Boxes?

I recently heard that the "New" 3DS Consoles don't have the usual seal on the box and was wondering if this is the case? I'm asking because if someone wants a 9.2fw 3DS they could carefully take the 3DS out of the box to check and return it if needed.

That's not true... of course they have the seal. Nintendo aren't that stupid to put shit packaging on their stuff now.

I thought that was the case, watched someone on youtube do an unboxing and they claimed this to be true.

When I ordered my special edition monster hunter n3ds it did NOT have a seal on it. However I think the reason for this was that it was ordered online.

I can also state that my MM special edition DID NOT have a seal on it. I ordered online from gamestop. IDK if it was even inside I never opened it and sold it the following day.

3DS packaging in general hasn't had seals for about 2 years now in North America.

i don't know about europe but nintendo hasn't used a seal in america for over a year now and they have never used a seal in japan.

Buy'ed 2x N3DS XL in different online stores here in Germany.
And no N3DS XL had a seal on it.

Are you guys talking about the "Original Seal of Nintendo" ? because mine MM N3ds XL has this seal (its on the site of the package. Or are you talking about another seal?

Me and a friend of mine both of us bought N3DS XL (AU) from Play Asia and both of ours did not have the seal.

I was actually surprised when I took it out of the PA packaging.

I'm in Europe and mine didn't have a seal on it either. Black small n3DS.
It's not just that the store removed it, there's no sign of there ever having been a seal.

No we're not talking about the Official Nintendo Seal, we're talking about those stickers on the edges of the boxes that you have to cut through, that are designed to tell you if it's been opened before or not

BTW back to the thread, black Jap N3DS owner and can confirm mine did NOT have seals

Just because the box is sealed doesn't mean it hasn't been switched out. All one needs is a hair dryer and a pair of tweezers

My classic 3DS and 3DS XL both had seals on the box.

My brand new n3DS XL (AUS) that I got on eBay did not have the seals, nor did the brand new copy of Kid Icarus Uprising that it came with.

My brand new n3DS XL (US) that I got in a local store also did not have the seals.

My bro personally picked up an n3DS XL MM edition brand new in GameStop and it did not have seals either.

Definitely looks like a trend and I wonder why Nintendo stopped applying the seals.
