This topic will serve for all Amiibo talk in one place ideally so that it'll be more organised and cleany.

I recently got my Villager, Rosalina and Bowser and here's their pics:

I said to myself "I'll never get any amiibos because they don't look anywhere near as good as they were during E3" but now I own three and they're friggin' cool!

Rosalina has a curved wand but eh, I can live with that.

I'm definitely going to see to it that I also own Shulk, Pac-Man and King Dedede (already have Ness & Mega Man on pre-order).

I think they cost too much for what they are. I haven't bought any.

Rosalina looks cool though. She is Target exclusive and hard to find in North America in my understanding. It is just too much of a pain for me to bother to look for hard to find amiibos especially when I don't even think I want them in the first place.

Got my Mega Man and Sonic today they look spectacular and well worth the money! I don't mind if I don't ever use them because I primarily bought them as figures.

I can't wait to go huntin' on February 20 for Shulk, King Dedede and Meta Knight!

I own Link and Rosalinda. The later one only because i got it for free when i bought my Wii U, otherwise i wouldn't have gotten her. Charizard and Lucario are on my list fur future purchases onces theres proper use for them beyond smash.

My girlfriend bought me Yoshi last christmas, and I've bought Link.
I will probably only buy Amiiboo's that adds functionality in games.
That said, getting Yoshi proved useful as the Amiiboo exploit (if you can call it that) really is useful for getting rupees and materials in Hyrule Warriors

She's called 'Rosalinda' in Germany?

By the way, Lucario's amiibo looks OK but it's too thin and rather an uninteresting character design but if you're a fan of the character then you won't mind it.

Toys “R” Us to sell fan-made amiibo customizations on its website

ToysRUsEvilos-700x329-656x308.png

Toys “R” Us is in talks to sell custom amiibo from creator “Evilos”. While the two sides are in the negotiating phases, everything is proceeding as planned and the fan-made figures will be sold online at some point. Pricing and other details are up in the air at the moment, but we’ll let you know more as soon as we receive more information.

Fan made Amiibos? This is why I don't want to buy an Amiibo. I'm scared I will get stuck in the collecting phase and feel like I need to have all of them. Things like this will just make it worst.

I have Villager (in box), Pit, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Toon Link, Captain Falcon, Lucario (in box), and Yoshi. I'm waiting to get my Ike, Mega Man, and Sonic amiibos too. I'm pretty sure I'm addicted.

My phones auto-correct added the 'd'. It's Rosalina in germany as well. I agree with you, however i doubt that the second version he will get eventually, will look any better.

I checked out Mega Man and Sonic today (yes, just walked in to a regular department store and the Nintendo aisle was full of them amiibos, including a few Little Macs and one Villager). They looked awful. I'm glad we don't have the shortages and I can just go to a store whenever I feel like it and have a good look at the amiibo before buying them. I'm equally glad I don't feel the need to collect any amiibo. As of this writing I don't own any amiibo. I sold my Villager some time ago. Waiting for the amiibo cards to come out and games that actually make use of amiibo in a meaningful way...

The amiibos that I've bought I just got them as figures rather than actually use them and I'm satisfied with the purchase, plus the Sonic amiibo looks infinitely better than the Sonic Generations Commemorative Statue which was a pile of mess.

For the next wave of amiibos I hope Duck Hunt is part of it because I'd really like to own his figure and I'd bet that it'd go out of stock pretty quickly. Oh yeah, that Wii U hacker got the amiibo feature of Duck Hunt so it's guaranteed he's coming.

Don't know what the commemorative statue looks like in person, but I was extremely off put with the Sonic amiibo in how Sonic's leg "bends" from the torso. Just looks so unnatural in person.

I've bought Pikachu as it was on sale and also wanted it for a while now.

I'm potentially getting Shulk, King Dedede and Meta Knight but can't say more for now. ^_^

I see, his second leg does look bendable but imo, the amiibo Sonic figure looks gorgeous and for £10 it was worth it. I guess I could've gotten a similar one from a Happy Meal toy but as far as I remember of McDonalds and Sonic.. There was just those shitty handheld gaming devices which I never really figured out how one can enjoy that. Better yet, just dream and you'll have a better time than playing that.

As an enthusiast of plastic stuff, I fucking hate them. Because I want all of them.

The hardest part is the availability in the USA. I do very much envy y'all in the UK, as NOA has been garbage at handeling Amiibo's in all respects.

Collecting them is absolutely infuriating, but they're really great. My wallet, on the other hand, hates Nintendo with a passion for making these.

This is what I'll be receiving in the coming days:

So glad to have someone looking out for the same amiibos while I'm unable to.

I'm thinking of buying one just to try it out, preferably zelda or samus but i was wondering, is there a particular amiibo that is compatible with the most WiiU games to date?
