I got two nephews, 7 and 12. My sister told me that their DS Lite had a messed up screen, so I ordered a new one off Ebay. I stayed up last night, watching a video on how to replace the screen. I watched it at least 5 times before finally getting up the nerve to fix it. I undid the connections SO carefully, just as the video showed. I successfully removed the touch screen from the LCD, and swapped it with the new screen. Then I very precisely reversed my steps in disassembly, checking the connections twice before sealing it back up. But when I went to turn it on, I got nothin. The battery was pretty low when I took it apart, so i plugged in the charger. The charging light came on for half a second and then went out. So I took it apart, checked all my connections a second and third time, only to get the same results. I just can't figure out what the cause could be. I've successfully turned their working DS with a little bit of screen damage into a fully nonfunctional paperweight.
