If I use rpc.exit(), will I still have control of the Wii U? (sorry for all the noobish questions. I just want to be prepared for when the exploit comes to 5.3.2)
In the change log it seems like all the versions of WebKit are the sam. How did nintendo patch the bug you guys developed?
Lastly, has anyone ever posted a video TUTORIAL(not just proof of concept) for me to refer all my questions to instead f directing them here

rpc.exit() will cause you to lose the connection.

In the change log it seems like all the versions of WebKit are the sam. How did nintendo patch the bug you guys developed?

Either they found out what the bug was doing (through a hardware debugger, possibly) and then looked in the WebKit logs to see how to fix it, or they compared the contents of the HTML file against one on Google Code mentioning the bug. We don't really know for sure.

K. My last questions for today. Do you think you guys will have time to finish the kernel exploit AND make a new exploit over christmas break. Also, is there a way that someone could modify the RPC code so that you maintain control after the browser is exited/ after rpc.exit() is used, or is the browser being open required?

I did not followed the Wii U hacking for a while seeing that there weren't any news, btw, why are you updating this topic ?
There is nothing new atm or in a short future ... no kernel or anything related too ... what are your sources ?

MN1 and other devs of the exploit have said they are close to a kernel exploit and will most likely finish it over christmas break.

Well after seeing some threads, it does seem to be a solid exploit ... I mean either it won't be release this year or it won't allowa great things ...

So i repaired the optical drive connectors on my wii u only to realize that my power/eject ribbon is trashed trolololol. That particular cable cant be ordered from anywhere! Only the drive ribbon is orderable XD. Thankfully, last night i picked up a used 32gb wii u (on ebay) with four kiddie games for only $60 (shipping included). I feel like i just won the lottery lol! Gonna give the kiddie games to my 7 year old nephew.

As for the cable getting damaged, i guess its karma for being such an arrogant p**** over the whole region free drivechip crap trololol.

I have a feeling the seller barely touched the wii u and just wanted to get rid of it, hence why i got it so dirt cheap. Heres to hoping it has a low enough firmware to work with the current webkit exploit *crosses fingers*

My wiiU is a day one package. I use it almost every days in wii and wiiU games. I guess their longevity is thrustable. Never a nintendo console broke on my hands

For $60-$100 and it works when you get it? I think it is worth the risk. For replacement parts if nothing else. A power brick alone will likely cost $30. A Gamepad? Ouch.

TSK does that include the Gamepad? If so that is a steal.

My boys went through their DSLites quickly as well, even with nerf cases. Damn cheap ass hing.

Nor have I, even my Gamecube from 2001 still works, well, mostly, laser is just now starting to go out and it gets disc read errors

That being said, I can't help but be somewhat wary for a used Wii U and hope that it would last for a few years at least.

Had a DS lite for six years, never had a hinge break on me lol. I still get wary around secondhand electronics, I'm not entirely sure why. I hope that if/when I get a used Wii U, that it lasts for two-three years.
