and Australia 29th we get it so practically December. fucking nintendo and their archaic region fucking codes :hateit:

You guys are being kinda ungrateful because Nintendo was considerable enough to change from December 4 to November 28.

Japan is still getting dumped on the last place and even Australia is getting it before them.

Not surprising, sounds like server overload as people are consistently buying the game at a high rate.

This is what I was worried and Nintendo doesn't seem like they got it under control.

Smash is the most hyped Wii U game and people are going straight to online matches so the servers need to be stable without lag but Nintendo's still pretty green about its online services.

So you can connect the Japanese Smash Bros 3DS to US Smash Bros WiiU

Why the eff did you say "So much for no paid DLC"? I mean, you acted as though that was a bad thing, it's not. Those who don't want to buy both games to get Mewtwo no longer have to.
First of all, come down. Second, it shouldnt have been a seperate dlc in the first place.

There could be a reason to why Mewtwo was forgotten or only released in 2015.

Besides that, while Mewtwo is a cool character most won't care to play as him with such a variety of characters to choose from!

Oh god.. no 4x Little Mac online matches! x_x

I caved and went out and bought Smash bros today XD. As for what alucard_xs said, the game actually requires 5.2.0 as I was on 5.0.0 before I popped the game disc in (and of course I had my wii U offline when I did it lol) and it updated me to 5.2.0. No worries though, the trinux exploit works no problem and all vWii hb still runs great.

One of the reasons why I wanted to pick up this game today is 1 ITS THE LATEST SMASH BROS and 2 ITS THE FIRST WII U GAME WITH DIRECT SD CARD ACCESS WOOT!

This could have huge potential for homebrew. IF somebody (anybody) is able to find an exploit in the game that they're able to trigger code execution with, it would give us the same permissions the game itself has, including sd card access! I mean we still won't be able to install any sort of "homebrew channel" or any other unofficial software, but at least we would have a consistent method of booting homebrew apps in Wii U mode using an sd card (and the game itself of course :P).

Hell, if anybody can pull that off, someone could even write a simple basic homebrew menu (that runs entirely off the sd card, nothing installed), that the exploit boots directly to. The menu, could then read all the apps off your sd card ala hbc style etc. Its not that most practical idea, but its better than relying solely on launching homebrew via "the cloud."

Thoughts on this Marionumber1 NWPlayer123 Maxternal ???

For storing pics and replays, yes :P I believe it actually uses JPEGs this time, I think.

You are correct, but I was playing around with that last night, thinking maybe we could use a backdoor through a corrupted image file (like many viruses for your computer do), but I noticed, the minute I try to edit the photo on my pc and save it back to the sd card and stick it back in the Wii U, the file is no longer viewable under "snapshots." It just shows an empty frame with a "no" slash through it. There is also a corresponding .BIN file for every jpg snapshot. I take it, that is how its able to tell that the image has been tampered with, as the image itself isn't encrypted in anyway.

FYI the .bin file i'm referring to is encrypted, so theres no way of modifying that accordingly until we're able to decrypt and resign it. We'd need the private key that its signed with to do that.

NWPlayer123 thanks for your input!
