hey quick question on the widescreen code setup, can't get them to work. Here is my setup:

USB:/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
USB:/games/Mario Kart Double Dash/game.iso
USB:/games/GM4E01/GM4E01.gct

Options in Nintendont, Cheats on and cheat path on. Is this right? Thanks in advance.
If you are running the game through any USB Loader like USBLGX, Wiiflow or CFG, then you MUST enable Cheat Path AND Cheats.
If you are running the game through the standalone Nintendont app, you just have to enable Cheats, not Cheat Path.

What Cheat Path does is that it remembers the last place from where a GCT was loaded, most likely used if you use something like Wiiflow which stores GCTs in /wiiflow/codes/gct. With Cheat paths, it will load the GCT from that path and not from /games/GM4E01/

Just enable Cheats and use /games/GM4E01/GM4E01.gct and you should be good to go :)
Everything else is fine.

Thanks for getting this together, you missed a few I think are important though. If you don't mind could you get the widescreen cheat codes for these games that deshayzilla mentioned are on the devo list as well and post them together like you did in the quoted post? At the very least if it doesn't get implemented it'll be a great post to refer to for all the widescreen problematic games cheat codes.

- Phantasy Star Online (Episode 1+2)
- The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (full game and demo)
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Resident Evil 4
- Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
- Ultimate Spider-Man
These are all the codes that i could find from both your list and mine.
I couldn't find any codes for PSO, RE4, MGS and Ultimate Spider-man.
Only the Zeldas had a Widescreen cheat code.

I'm glad to see that now more people are seeing the plus side on cheat codes and not jumping to the "Oh you cheater can't play fair" kind of thing.
This is what I was referring when I said that cheat codes gives a lot of cool options that do not have to do at all with hacking your way through the game.

On a different note, how do I set USB-Loader GX to use a different Nintendont dol for certain games? I wanna use r 164 for Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Mega Collection Proto, and use r181 for Pac-Man World 2, Taxi 3, and Sonic Gems Collection, but for some reason whenever I change the path it always uses the regular version instead, I use Nintendont from SD and the games are from USB, does this matter?

Finally, you saw the light :)

Anyways, the process goes like this:
1) when in the USBLGX menu select any GC game you want to play.
2) You'll have the game's banner or disc image show up and the buttons ''settings'' and ''play'' on the bottom.
3) Click ''settings'' (on the left)
4) On the GC loader method, select Nintendont
5) Now on the very last setting option down below, you'll see a ''nintendont folder'' setting. Click on that, point the app to where the specific version of the nintendont loader you wanna use for this game is located.
6) Once you do that, click ''save'' on the button below the settings, so that USBLGX remembers that from now on.

That should be it.

If the above instructions are not clear, tell me so i can upload pics instead.

I have the US version (indecated by the "E" symbol) but unlike Pac-Man World 3 which is really NTSC, I noticed that Pac-Man World 2 is in fact PAL converted to NTSC, it seems all versions I saw that claim to be NTSC are in fact PAL converted to NTSC, as for Taxi 3 it's obviously PAL only!
Well then, I stand corrected, especially after I tested a Japanese release of Paper Mario, which I can confirm doesn't crash Nintendont via USB Loader GX unlike the US release which does, as well as the PAL-exclusive* Asterix and Obelix XXL, which also crashes. Since we all know the Japanese never dabbled in PAL, I say the former case is a definite argument that PAL is what does the problem.

*...barring the PS2 version.

But wait, Paper Mario DOES have a real NTSC version, my version is NTSC-U it has Vivian (my fave Mario chick) as a female not a transsexual boy like in the Jap and Euro versions, anyway the game works fine for me loaded from USB-Loader GX.

Could you check the title ID please?
I don't know actually but I renamed it for USB-Loader GX, how can I check the game ID?

I did that actually but it didn't work, though I may have forgot to save after, I'll check again and tell you, btw I didn't (see the light) I still think it's best to address any games breaking as soon as possible before more updates are released and then it will be harder to track down, I hope we get a perfect Nintendont dol someday.

These are the ones I hate. I can't reproduce it, but it's still affecting some people. Thankfully it's not something that breaks games.

I see no logical reason for it to not work, but I'll keep looking into it. My website is down and I can't do any work until it goes back up, so I should have free time.
I really don't know what to say, it worked for me but I don't know why it didn't for others *shrug*

Open it with an Hexeditor. The ID should be the first 6 Byte. But iirc this demo has no ID, so you probably need to add one, if you want to have it listed in nintendont.

Hmm, finally found the reason why Paper Mario, as well as Pac-Man World 2 and other stack-dumping games kept stack dumping on me with USB Loader GX: 'twas because I renamed the folder from "Game ID" (like "G8ME01") to "(Game name) [Game ID]"; turns out just leaving the folder's name as the Game ID alone (just as it was immediately after DMtoolbox installation) will make it work post-r197.

So in spite of what the OP says, a new rule of thumb for USB Loader GX users would be to not tamper with folder names, not one character.

Ive noticed there are suddenly lots of european language entries on the compat list. Surely these are just PAL iso's?? Shouldnt we consider these double entries? I think its adding clutter. Would be better to add a column for other language names of the same game, or something along those lines???

Really? I shall test that to see, but if that's the case then it sucks, I always use "Game Name (region) [Game ID]" like that with all Wii and GC games to be easier to track down the game iso when needed.
Open it with an Hexeditor. The ID should be the first 6 Byte. But iirc this demo has no ID, so you probably need to add one, if you want to have it listed in nintendont.
This explains why I couldn't find it.

Alright time for a little report, actually more like a big report, I spent hours testing all games I got, here's the results (FIX94 maybe you can look into these?):

**Nintendont 2.198**
RED = Doesn't work
Orange = Works with issues
Yellow = Low priority
Green = Nitpick

-Frogger Ancient Shadow [GFPEA4]:
Still black screen on start, never worked before as far as I know, it works fine in DM(L) though.

-Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 [GGPE02]:
Still crashes at the camera screen.

-Virtua Striker 4 v2006 [GVSJ8P]:
Still black screen on start.

-Sonic Adventure DX (Chao Race) [GXSE8P]:
Game still crashes before Chao race starts, now I can't even get to the Chao select screen for some reason, I did some testing and it worked in r164 but broke in r181 so it broke somewhere in between.

-Sonic Adventure DX (Alpha) [RELSAB]:
Black screen, game doesn't work, just like the Chao Race in the final version, I did some testing and it worked in r164 (though for some reason Sonic doesn't stop walking if you let go of the analog stick, I remember it worked perfect in the earlier builds before the fix for the final game) however it's broken in r181 so I guess just like the Chao Race it broke somewhere in between r164 and r181.

-Sonic Mega Collection (Proto) [GS0E8P]:
Genesis games work with no audio but they work fine in the final version, it worked in r164.

-Sonic Gems Collection (Sonic CD) [G2XE8P]:
Exiting from Sonic CD causes the game to crash (luckily after it saves your progress) it worked last in r181.

-Virtua Striker 2002 [GVSE8P]:
If you start the game with memory card turned off the game asks if you want to start the game without save, if you accept the game freezes, same issue happens if you enable (emulated) memory card and get a "format" message for the first time, the only way to get the game running is in mutli-memory option (confirm?).

-Midway Arcade Treasures 2 [GAYE5D]:
Aside from the noise at the game start the game works fine.

-Pac-Man World 2 [GP2E69]:
Game works fine if you start it from the Nintendot loader, but it doesn't work if you run it from USB-Loader GX (I guess this issue is related to USB-Loader GX rather than Nintendont, perhaps Cyan can explain this one?).

-Taxi 3 [GXQF41]:
Same exactly as Pac-Man World 2, works from the Nintendont loader but crashes if you run it from USB-Loader GX, I noticed both games are PAL region only (I don't think either one of them was ever released as true NTSC) so maybe that's a start point since I don't have any other PAL games in my GC collection.

****************************************************************************************

Other than that I didn't encounter any issues, except of course Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 doesn't save yet, on the plus side here are some games that I noticed worked better now:

-Soul Calibur 2 seems to work fine now, played for an hour without any crashes, beat both Arcade and Extra Arcade and then played some more, confirm?

-Mega Man X Command Mission also worked fine, no crashes here either, played for a couple of hours and beat the first chapter, encountered as many battles as I could find, no crashes so far, though I could be just lucky, can anyone confirm?

-Soft reset combo (R+Z+Start) worked fine with every game I tested (except for Mario Kart Arcade GP which is understandable), not sure when it was fixed though but I guess it's been fixed.

JoostinOnline I noticed Peach's Castle doesn't appear in the games list in Nintendont but the game runs fine from USB-Loader GX, maybe you can look into that?

Good job on the testing. I'd also like to add that the resident evil zero crash/lockup on disc 2(with the door with the dial) was supposedly working on r168. Can anyone confirm this, or better, can supply a nintendont save up to that point for testing purposes. thanks!

Hey dude, what settings are you using for MKGP2 to get to the camera screen? I'm on 198 and have mem card on set to 251 and I get black screen. Loading the game from an sd too btw.

Everything else is fine.

I'm loading my Gamecube games from USB Loader GX, and I've enabled Cheats and Cheat Path on my standalone Nintendont app. Here's my setup:

USB:/SNEEK/kenobiwii.bin
USB:/games/Twilight Princess/game.iso
USB:/codes/GZ2E01.gct

Turned on Ocarina, but when I load the game all I get is an exception occurred message and a code dump.
