Hello everyone ! Anyone knows how I could set my virtual network to no password ? Virtual Router that I used until now (Damn 3DS firmware 9.x) required a password. And it seems that with netsh, it's WPA only (so with password ...), unless creating a profile and set authentification = open ?
Thank you by advance ; ;

Unfortunately there is no way to set a hosted AP on Windows 7 without a password, so you will need to setup a connecttion with SSID NZ@MCd1 with password (attwifi won't work with password anymore). You do not need virtual router for spotpass, just follow the "Before trying anything else" at the first post to get a homepass working!

I can't get the eshop on NZ@Mcd1. is that normal?

Yes, Web browser and eShop is not acessible with this SSID. If you need to just check your connection change SSID to NintendoSpotPass1

NZ@McD1 have a flags not allowing to use a WEB browser and eShop in 9xx firmware. Noone knows how it really works and if that may be affected by password-protecting the AP. But in fact both Web Browser and sShop are not accessible on my european 3DS with that SSID. It may be region-locked but however strettpass relay works fine.

I'm glad it works for you. But as soon an it do not work for someone else we shouldn't rely on that. There are people all over the world trying to homepass and each Nintendo Zone have a region assigned to it. We were lucky to get NZ@McD1 working as a streetpass relay for every region.

My bad, I saw the NZ@MCd1 trick but thought that it was for ubuntu section (Well, i would have set back my ubuntu server if needed) so I didnd't pay much attention to it.

That worked great ! Thanks a lot sweetie ! Now I'm back in action :D

I feared that it wouldn't work my 2DS and 3DS which remained in 7.x (Only my 3DS XL got upgraded)

Hi,

I am using Windows 7 to do Homepass, using MACycle and with SSID NZ@McD1. From what I have read, you can only do this every 8 hours PER MAC ADDRESS. However, once I get the StreetPasses (6 as mentioned before), I am unable to get more by changing the MAC Address. I even receive the Miis and wait for the rest of the Mac cycling, and still unable to have more SP, until I wait 8 hours.... Is this normal?

I have checked that the Address is changed using the getmac command and it indeed changes, so I already discarded that as a reason.

Please install my script and I'll troubleshoot you if the situation not changes.

P.S. Who's the heck is HEERO (Japan/Germany) got 8/10 MIIs on plaza from him by the night!

Downloaded maccheck.cmd and nzone.vbs. Tried first step, running nzone.macs, the computer ask for a software to open the file. Anyways I decided to try the script and run in cmd with administrator privileges C:\nzone.vbs start BASE16,GBATEMP and and error appears with the following info:

Command sequence: C:\nzone.vbs
Line: 149
Character: 38
Error: The service does not accept control messages at this moment
Code: 80070425
Origin: (null)

!! REMINDER !!

make sure to CHANGE your mii's shirt color BEFORE visiting the MACs for a specific shirt color.

Lately it seems I get mii with every color except pink from the pink-shirt MACs. Other shirt-color MACs are doing more or less bad depending on a color's overall popularity. (i.e. red seems very popular, so its easy to get red in the red-shirt MACs. Less-popular colors like pink and brown have pretty much become impossible to get even when you visit a MAC for that specific shirt color.)

So okay, Iget that everyone had to repopulate their mii data and whatnot, but its been OVER A WEEK now, and no one is giving a damn about the specific shirt-color MACs

So, once again, here is the list of what MACs are for what mii-shirt-color:

4E:53:50:4F:43:XX

where xx is --- and the MACs are for this color mii-shirt

00 to 0F -- RED
10 to 1F -- ORANGE
20 to 2F -- YELLOW
30 to 3F -- LIGHT GREEN
40 to 4F -- GREEN
50 to 5F -- BLUE
60 to 6F -- LIGHT BLUE
70 to 7F -- PINK
80 to 8F -- PURPLE
90 to 9F -- BROWN
A0 to AF -- WHITE
B0 to BF -- BLACK

for RANDOM shirt-color mii, use the main MAC of 4E:53:50:4F:4F:46

I tried these macs method, but i just received miis with different colors mixed.
Im using NZ@McD1 ssid

Ok, I have scoured the net and this site to find out how to set up this streetpass relay on my android, and I was finally successful in getting my galaxy s5 to broadcast a mobile hotspot, but I cannot for the life of me find out how to spoof a mac address through said hotspot! I have tried plenty of apps, including Wifi Tether, Native tethering, Streetpass Riilay, Androidpass, and tons off supposed mac address changers and spoofers, but nothing has been effective so far. My galaxy s5 is rooted, but I am not on a custom rom. Someone please help!

Ok, so here is my issue-

Running Windows 7 and trying to migrate from MACycle and Virtual Router Manager to duke_srg's nzone vb script (it looks awesome duke, thanks for the work in doing this!).

I've ran nzone.vbs start BASE256, nzone.mac has been created, the scheduled task has been created and is running successfully every minute. However the virtual wifi AP is never being turned on. I've found if I start up Virtual Router Manager, I can start the AP up until the next MAC change (and verify the MAC is changing properly) but for whatever reason the script doesn't bring the AP back up.

I can watch the actual wireless connection go from Not Connected to Disabled (which then makes the Virtual Wifi connection disable) and back again but I can't get that last step to ON. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

EDIT: Long time listener, first time caller! :D

Are you guys getting Fantasy Life hits?

I have went through many MACs and not a single hit so far... I have experienced this with the Bravely Deafult demo and Denpa Men 2 as well. :(

And yes, I have everything set to on, I'm also getting Mii Plaza hits just fine.

You must first uninstall virtual router manager, it may affect the script functionality. MACCycle or any other software that use macshift can't be run at the same time with the script too, but may stay on your HDD though.
If you already have nzone.macs script, just go to the scheduled tasks, dizable nzone job and run nzone.vbs with no parameters, it must commit the MAC change (well if you don't have many MACs in list, it most probably decide it's not time to switch MAC) and display a script error if any.

Yeah I uninstalled that last night and def not running MACCycle at the same time. The scheduled task is running every minute with no error code (0x0). Seems to have something to do with the length of time it takes to disable and re enable my wireless interface.. I noticed if I added:

WScript.Sleep(5000)
NetSh "start hostednetwork", True

at the end of the Select Case strArg block it would work for the most part.. but this was causing performance issues (notable jerks in video playback on the htpc this runs on when the wireless interface would bounce).

Everything seems to work with your default script on my htpc besides the netsh wlan start hostednetwork call.. :/

I love the idea of having this always on running on my fairly beefy htpc instead of rdp'ing into it and starting two applications to start homepassing but it skips the video playback, that won't do!
