There's a term for this sort of game: "PewDie-Bait."
It's a shame the developer won't stop loafing around and make something actually worth playing. At the very least, though, he's helping us separate the wheat from the chaff.

I think we need to make the mood less leaven, maybe choose to slice it a different way and appreciate it, possibly when baked. If not we risk being one of those doughy bastards we usually break elsewhere.

Erm...PC is already being taken seriously (perhaps not by you, but then that's your concern, not the market's). But since the gaming market is a free market, you can't go around telling people NOT to make a game. All you can do is to chose not to buy it.
And seriously: is it any difference on consoles? If your answer is "no", then you haven't really looked at its FULL catalog.
