Still, I have been having the same problem as TranscendentIgnorance since starting case 4. The game worked perfectly fine before that and I'm playing the game using R4 3DS. Any ideas how to fix this problem?
One translation question that might be a case of a placeholder name not being replaced until a translation had been set. On "The Inherited Turnabout", End, Part 3, at the very beginning of it, there's a testimony/rebuttal case that includes these lines:

Hello, first of all, I wanna thank you guys for your awesome work I'd been waiting for this game a loooong time and so happy to have it. I barely had any problem with it even!
But everything changed, when the last case came around! I'm in the middle part 1 and I can't seem to be able to read the SS-5 Incident Files. I can only read the first page and everyone is talking about details not in that page, so I figure there are other pages that I cannot see.
I doubt I can fix it, so does someone at least have those files and tell me what they say word per word? I don't wanna guess myself when the time comes and I'll have to use them and google wasn't really helpful... I even spoiled myself a bit by accident >_>

I'm currently having trouble with a weird glitch on the third case. Every time I try to start the third case, the game screen turns black with pink and white lines, then crashes. It always happens in the first cutscene of the case, while the shot is zooming out of the television. I've tried it on multiple computers, and I'm still trying a few fixes, but I can't seem to get it to work.
Spoiler contains an image of the glitch right before DeSmuMe crashes.
I don't need a fix, though, if someone is willing to send me a battery (.dsv) or save state (.dst, .ds1, .ds2, etc.) file for DeSmuME that loads me to the very first text at the fountain (this part).

Have you read readme? That tells about black screens?

I'm confused about something: I managed to download Xdelta, but i'm confused about which file goes in the patch section, the source file section and the output file selection, because you said the patch was in the how to section but there's a patch near the bottom. Can you help me please?
Two thank yous are in order. First for making this patch. And the second is for putting a link for all parts of all cases saves. I had just screwed up and deleted my save in the middle of case three and the most recent was at the end of case one. So THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING THAT UP!!!
Instead to be mad, you should spend the time to read some old posts in this thread. You will find the answer to your problems for sure. But if you are lazy to read, do yourself and us a favor and don't play this game; there is way to much text for you to read!
And here's the thing. I didn't think my problem would be mentioned on this 'cause it was a problem with the emulator and not the patch. But I still read it all. And my problem was only mentioned twice and it didn't help. And I've searched everywhere for answers, and got nothing. But it seems I'll just have to replay all two and a half cases. And thank you SO MUCH for translating it in the first place.
