Ah, it's great you found a controller.

You didn't have Bootmii installed in boot2 even while your console was compatible? (only old Wii can install boot2)
Bootmii has better protection than priiloader and it's launched before it. All guide should tell users to install boot2 if possible. That will have helped you on your issue if you already had it, the GC controller wasn't required.

if you edited the bootmii.ini on your SD, you said to boot HBC with 0 second delay, so when you power on your console it autoboot HBC.
If you want to pass trhough priiloader again, you need to edit the ini file and replace HBC with SYSMENU

it will load the System menu file (Priiloader is actually a replacement of the System menu, the real System menu has been renamed)
Boot > bootmi > priiloader (fake system menu) > system menu (real)

I think the issue with the wiimote still losing synch is caused by cIOS.
You should reinstall d2x cIOS in your slot249 (and maybe 250), and it will even fix the game issue.

If wiimote lose synch in Wad manager too, Do step5 before Step4.
Use this link,
http://www.mediafire.com/view/5ggh53tj9hhp1tr/d2x-cios-installer-3.1-v6-v7-v8-v10-wii.7z
install d2x v8 or v10
slot249 : base 56
slot250: base 57

I still don't understand how a freeze could modify the installed IOS. it's probably a cIOS bug. It's not the first time user report losing synch (I once had that issue too).

Yes, since my previous problems i've reinstalled bootmii on boot2 and it works well.

Bootmii has better protection than priiloader and it's launched before it. All guide should tell users to install boot2 if possible. That will have helped you on your issue if you already had it, the GC controller wasn't required.

Effectively now when i lose synchro (just one or two times when i did my tests), i don't need anymore the GC controller to resynchronize.

if you edited the bootmii.ini on your SD, you said to boot HBC with 0 second delay, so when you power on your console it autoboot HBC.
If you want to pass trhough priiloader again, you need to edit the ini file and replace HBC with SYSMENU

I did exactly all what you say above and now all works perfectly : when i start the wii, the USBLOADERGX is started. That's the behavior i wanted.

I still don't understand how a freeze could modify the installed IOS. it's probably a cIOS bug. It's not the first time user report losing synch (I once had that issue too).

All of my games are working ok but unfortunatly i still have black screen with most of that channels :
- News (connexion failure, error code 10731)
- Wii shop (connexion failure, error code 10731)
- Weathernews
- Today and Tomorrow
- Youtube
- Hombrew Channel freeze on the first screen : "this software must not be sold ...."

Also with the games :
- Wii Fit Plus
- Wii Play Motion
- Wii Party

The only working channels are Photo v1.1 and Mii Channel.

And for all of them "Return to Wii Menu" = Black screen, i must put off then on on front panel.

Aslo "return to" parameter in usbloaderGX configuration/Loader parameters is set as "4c554c5a"
When i try to change to any other choice, i have this :
LULZ = Hombrew Channel
UNEO = unknown
HAVP = Today and Tomorrow channel
HCXP = Youtube
[blank] = Delete
but any choice i do, it returns always on 4c554c5a

Any idea ? Perhaps transfer the questions in another discussion ?

Sorry, there's a lot of subjects answered randomly, I hope you will understand.

Nintendo discontinued his network service for most channels.
News, weather, and I don't know "today and tomorrow" but I guess it's a network channel too.
these will not work anymore.

When you launch a channel from the loader, it's using the current IOS defined in settings>Game's IOS. (I will change that later to always reload the correct IOS).
Using slot249 with some channel is the issue you have:

I don't know about Youtube, but :
eshop : require IOS52
Homebrew channel : require IOS58

Select Home > "exit to System menu", and launch it from here.
If you can't exit to System menu, it's due to Priiloader replacing the system menu and reloading USBLoaderGX automatically. There's an option in the loader to prevent this (settings>parental setting>bypass priloader).

If you want to launch the Homebrew channel, Home>Exit>HBC.
(you can add more option to the Home menu in Settings>GUI>Home menu: Full)

About the return to:
When you exit a game using the "Home menu > Return to Wii Menu", instead of returning to System menu, you can tell the game to return to any installed channels.
UNEO = USBLoaderGX, this is the one you installed in the guide on the previous page, and this is the one you need to choose to return to the loader when exiting the game.
4c554c5a = LULZ = Homebrew Channel

If you see the numbers instead of the code or name, something is not setup correctly.
If you launch the loader from the Forwarder 5.1, it should work.
if "Return to" setting doesn't display/save correctly, maybe you are using an old forwarder, or you are still launching the loader directly from priiloader instead of the forwarder. (you correctly installed the forwarder dol in priiloader?)

I always thought it was not normal that installing the forwarder.dol in priiloader worked for other users.
In my opinion, it's not the correct setup, but all other users are doing it fine.

I don't use priiloader so I can't debug :(

But there's another possibility :)
if you have bootmii installed at boot2, you can tell bootmii to autoload the forwarder channel instead of loading priiloader.
replace bootmii file on your SD card with this one : http://www.mediafire.com/download/o5zj30ti0am/bootmii_mod_UNEO.zip
(keep a backup of the original bootmii file to restore it in case of need)

It will load the loader much faster than passing through priiloader, and should fix your "return to" menu not showing channel name.

Just to precise i said :
All of my games are working ok but unfortunatly i still have black screen with most of that channels :

all of this was from UsbloadeGX, but with wii menu here is the behavior :

- News (connexion failure, error code 10731) fail with error code 107304 (problem with wiiconnect24 internet connexion)
- Wii shop (connexion failure, error code 10731) works
- Weathernews fail with error code 107304 (problem with wiiconnect24 internet connexion)
- Today and Tomorrow works
- Youtube works
- Hombrew Channel freeze on the first screen : "this software must not be sold ...." works

So except for the 2 channels which need wiiconnect24 (it's perhaps a network problem at me) , all are working with wii menu but not with usbloadergx.

Yes perhaps we must define some differents IOS regardless the channel we want to load under usbloadergx.

Select Home > "exit to System menu", and launch it from here.
If you can't exit to System menu, it's due to Priiloader replacing the system menu and reloading USBLoaderGX automatically. There's an option in the loader to prevent this (settings>parental setting>bypass priloader).

It's ok with the "Settings>GUI>Home menu: Full", now i have 2 choices when pushing home button to return : HBC or Wii. It's more convinient.

About the return to:
When you exit a game using the "Home menu > Return to Wii Menu", instead of returning to System menu, you can tell the game to return to any installed channels.

4c554c5a = LULZ = Homebrew Channel

Yes but as i said, any choice i do it returns always on 4c554c5a. it's very boring.

I didn't say you before but i don't remember when it came, i have 2 forwarders in my wad folder :
USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT (For vWii ONLY).wad (06/01/2013)
USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad (11/05/2012)
Which of them must i use ?

I always thought it was not normal that installing the forwarder.dol in priiloader worked for other users.
In my opinion, it's not the correct setup, but all other users are doing it fine.

I don't use priiloader so I can't debug :(

(keep a backup of the original bootmii file to restore it in case of need)

I tried but the wii doesn't boot : black screen.
But for me it's not a problem as i said i boot directly on usbloadergx with the original ppcboot.elf and it's fine as it.

It will load the loader much faster than passing through priiloader, and should fix your "return to" menu not showing channel name.

To conclude : expect the "return to" in the usbloadergx paramaters, i consider that my configuration is now enough stable and i (we) spent (too) many time to do that.

Again thank you.

use USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad (11/05/2012)
You are on Wii, so don't install the "vWii" version, it's for WiiU console only.

I don't know why "return to" setting doesn't save correctly for you.

I'm glad you could fix your issue and your daughter can play again!

Hi,

I upgraded usbloader GX v3.0 with recently r1231 and i added a new game.
Again no more games can be played or just play one time and can't be played the
next time. Sometimes i can reach the game begining but the video display looks bad and/or the game have no menus.

I've done many IOS upgrades via D2xDowloader, and i used the pimpmywii tests and corrects but the result is the same.

Here are the syscheck and pimpmywii logs :
I don't think all is ok : for example HBC runs ok but syscheck says like if it were not installed...., about IOS i don't know.

If you see something wrong please let me know what about.

Leave it.

I resolved my problem reinstalling correctly the HBC, d2X CIOS, and USBLOADER GX.

and don't use pimp my wii anymore.
it will prevent messing up your system files.

You only need 2 cIOS, patching everything else is not useful (and creates issues).

Hi,

I use Hombrew Channel with USBLOADER GX 3.0 (installed on my SD card with Pack Hack WII), 1 SD Card to boot, and an USB Disk for games storing. This since a week ago.
Later i've installed Priiloader0_8_beta4.

Since i've USB, everyday i put new games for my children with WiiBackupManager, and all is working well.
All works perfectly with my personals configuration options especialy direct boot to USBLOADERGX (no more wasted time to acces the games). So what a pleasure !
But yesterday i tried to get the folders images to acces the initials Wii Channels (not the games) via usbloader GX like before with the Wii menu.

I put the covers on my SD card, and i tested if it worked via usbloader. Some worked ok but i don't remember what channel gives me a black screen (it was late at night) and just before another says me "no networking work " or something like that. At this moment wiimote could not shutdown the Wii.

So I push the shutdown button from the front cover to put it off, push again tu put it on and then the wii boot on usbloader GX but ... the problem begins. The wiimote doesn't work : it blimp but no arrow on the screen. I do it again : same thing.

OK. So i boot on priloader (push power + reset button), the menu appears, but same thing the wiimote (+, -, arrow) blimp but doesn't work (+, -, arrow).

I've tried all the support solutions (re synchronize the wiimote , plug out / in all the cables, waiting, etc...)
The result is Wiimote is unable to work. What a pity for my childrens, i was so fair ...

How could i do to repair this problem ?
I must precise some things :
1 - i can ping my Wii,so it seems the wi-fi is OK.
2 - The DVD drive doesn't work anymore. It's the reason i hack my Wii for USB use.
3 - I can't anymorre turn on/off my Wii with the wiimote.
4 - I use the original wiimote not the motion plus adapter

It can be the bluetooth module which is broken, but how can i be sure to avoid disassembling the Wii ?

Any response for anyone will be greatly appreciated.
Your sensor bar may be broken or not working well with the wii you have I had this problem today and switched and now works great I was looking for answers and saw this post thought I'd come back and let everyone know, you might have had two different wiis I saw a lot of people saying it was the wii motion plus controllers now I'm on the hunt to see if this works for every one let me know how this goes everyone who sees this.

yes i've bootmii in the root of my SD :
here's the .ini config :

# BootMii config file
# Video mode, possible settings:
# NTSC, PAL50, PAL60, PROGRESSIVE
VIDEO=PAL50
# Autoboot, possible settings:
# SYSMENU, HBC
#AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU
# Autoboot delay, in seconds:
# Default is 5
#BOOTDELAY=5

but how can i boot on it ?
I don't understand " Maybe doing the button combo you can access the System"

This specific post saved my day. Thanks.

Enabling "AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU" solved my issue.
