^just buy the UHS-1 standards, it should work. UHS-2 is out of question though since its above 3.0 specification so it uses all new different protocol.

Although UHS-2 microSDXC cards are not yet existent so I doubt you will stumble on this type of cards for use on PSP.

That sounds a bit crazy LOL! I get you though.. Those cards are not exactly easy to transport due to how tiny they are and easily misplaced. That's kind of why the idea to go to a much larger card makes a bit more sense. At less than $50 to get 2x 32 GB micro SD cards and the adapter it's a no brainer.. Plus with OS X I can format the dual card as FAT-32 with no issues and will get a full 59 GB of accessible storage space. Knowing max read/write speeds of the PSP would be helpful..
I use that plastic case from ps1 memory card to carry around my 7 pro duos :D

64GB card work fine. Even in fake adapters. People do have issues with them but provided you put the cards in the adapter and always do ALL of your writing / deleting through the PSP, you won't have any issues. I've had a few different brands of adapter and never had any issues whatsoever. I've currently got two 64s in my PSP, both different brands, ones class 10, the other I believe is class 4 but it makes no difference and everything is nice and quick. Do the formatting in the PSP and never in a PC and your good to go. And like i said before, always do your writing to the card via USB cable to PSP and you won't have any problems.

All you have to do is put it in your computer using a card reader with two 32GB microSD cards and format it into Fat32. Proof that it works, lol.

And in case you miss the biggest evidence of all

Now the real question is how well will it read two 64GB cards... 120GB of space on a PSP, that would just be insanely crazy, LOL!
The 64GB cards come pre-formatted as exFAT, hence why people think they won't work. But formatted as FAT32, they work just like all the others do. The problem is people are too stupid to check the cart's filesystem before sticking it into their device.

I use two 32GB mico sd's in a dual adaptor.
the one I used was called "PhotoFast CR-5400 MS Pro Duo Dual Slot Adaptor" atleast thats what it says on it.
And If I remeber correctly you had to do so funky formatting stuff to get it working right.

What will happen if i take the psp microsd adapter and put in into a usb reader or try plug the psp into usb for pc file management /writing /deleting

I think your best bet was connecting the PSP via usb, that worked fine.

Do you think a 64gb microsd will work with a regular one slot adapter i have my psp info listed above or should i try and get my money back and do a 32gb x 2 thing

It will work perfectly fine. I've had 128gb in my psp now for 6 months or so and not one single hiccup. Like I mentioned before, use a usb cable and do everything through the psp and you'll have no issues, dual micro sd adapter or the single adapters both work fine.

Thank you for the info i really appreciate it and sorry to bug you about this but when you say "use a usb cable and do everything through the psp" you mean when I first insert the adapter + microsd into psp i format it through the psp and i can use a usb for writing and deleting and adding new files to the psp? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Reminds me of when people were arguing about the Wii supporting SD cards over 32GB. It's as simple as reformatting the storage with a third party system. I have a 128GB card in my Wii right now that's got all of my GameCube backups on it :ha:

Been meaning to do larger storage like this on my PSP 2000. One of these days I'll stop being lazy and do it.

Correct. Always have the memory card in the psp. Never put it in a pc. Do all your file copying etc via usb connection to pc (Your pc will just see the psp as an additional drive).

My PSP-2001 only has an 8GB card in it, but it's enough for my PS1 backups and the 2 PSP games I play. (Burnout Legends and Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2)
I plan on getting a 32GB card for my Wii just for Gamecube backups for Nintendont.
The 4GB card I have now can only fit my homebrew and roms with 1 GCN game.

Yeah, I probably overdid it with a 128GB card, but I wanted to be sure I never ran out of space. At least not for a long damn time, lol. I had a 32GB card in there originally, but I quickly exceeded the space :P
