Hardware Thinking of purchasing a PSP again or Vita.

So I think it was like years since my PSP-1000 broke (I broke it trying to put a new faceplate in) it had CFW and everything, now I'm thinking of buying a new PSP-3000 but, I've been living under a rock so I dunno anything about the Vita like has it been hacked or can it play psp games? so just tell me buy the PSP-3000 and wait or buy a Vita?

There are quite a few exploits released on vita at the moment that allow psp game loading and psp homebrew. I'm not sure how much longer the exploits will be available.
So if you are going to get a vita for psp stuff, then you should get one very soon.
