Weird. I have the same. U have 32 or 40 pin?

Hmm. I have a ribbon cables (shown on picture below). On the left is a 32 pin ribbon cable with cable soldered. On the right I have a ribbon cable that is 32 pin into 40 pin from GBA. I connected this 2 cables (didn't soldier the cable to motherboard), screen and motherboard (1 with missing resistor and 1 with missing condenser). Screen didn't worked good in this combination. When I moved/touched/whatever I did, the screen was inverted, really fuzzy etc... Missing parts in motherboards can be the cause?

I'll get new motherboard in a few days and I'll write if it doesn't work still.

If I get it right, you used two ribbon cables together. You are supposed to use only one. Use the one that fits motherboard's socket.

I want well you to keep me informed : )
and I think that Mastah to due. You must choose the right cable (32 or 40 according to the motherboard you have ) and not to a combination between two cable.

Holy cow. I'm so happy with this soldering I made few minutes ago. I bought a new soldering iron and it's really good. I used to solder with a really old soldering gun (my dad's one that had 30 years lol) but now it's really easy for me to solder. :)

So RCG is listing the kit as "out of production".
Is there any other place to buy except for eBay?

I'm thinking more about the LCD's than the ribbons.

Hi!

I have installed one of those kits into a GBA. It's not the first kit I do, but it's the first 32 pin kit. The thing is I'm having some ghosting issues, and I don't know if there is something that can be done. I know these screens have some ghosting, but this screen just have too much ghosting.

Thanks!

Washed-out colors seem to be a case where you just connect RECV to ground. Worked for a few people so far, at least.

The Screens are no longer made there was one batch of 5000 made in 2009 and they took 5 years to sell out..

What a bummer! Let's hope for a new batch in the future.
I have been asking a company that makes LCD's MOQ is 5000pcs, but there will be a 6 month wait as they are busy making screens for phones.

If any one wants in let me know.

I was sorta looking into this for a bit before deciding that the lack of GBA LCDs just meant we could move on to other projects which have been sitting idle FOREVER, but I sure wouldn't complain if they were to come back into production. Depending on the price, I would be down to place an order. Shoot me a PM and we can talk more about what sort of Quantity I would be willing to order and at what price.

I bought a GBA SP (since they are not producing any replacement screen anymore) to take out the screen and do the backlit mod to the original GBA, but there is a little problem. The GBA SP have some stuck/ dead pixels and I will like to know if there is a way to fix that.
