I depend on the central AltWFC server for logging in, so no. You should still be able to connect to it if you run your own local AltWFC instance.

I don't plan on running my own AltWFC server at this time since it will lead to error 60000 and the loss of friend lists/codes as players switch back and forth.

mm201: Just reposting, in case you didn't see it:

I might ask: are any of your servers running linux? I might be able to help! :) I use a linux PC at home, and have some experience finding common problems. I ask because I heard one of you guys say some machines can't boot up right...

If so, try listing the boot logs here, or PM them to me. I might have enough experience to pinpoint the culprit for you. If it's windows however... :D I have no idea! :) If it is linux, dare I hope it isn't a segmentation fault... :O

Oh. I saw what happened. I came to see if the folks managed to get the server back up.

Oh, if it had a forum about so people could gather up and talk about (and even play together), that would be pretty cool.
