When I said "opinionated" I was talking about how you liked the GX menus while I like the old look better.

Gotcha. Only beef I had with the GX GUI is that it had a sound glitch when you opened and closed the menu that programmers never managed to pinpoint. It was a bug in the libogc library, also known as the "tinny sound issue"

Retroarch's Nestopia core on the Wii is simply incredible. Cycle accurate emulation and outstanding video quality, true 240p RGB output. It's better than a real NES.

The fact they got cycle-accurate NES emulation running full speed on the Wii is amazing in and of itself.

Wonder if PWAD's will ever be supported since WiiDooM can use them. Although WiiDooM's pwad compat is not that good from what I've tried.

I also wonder if they plan on optimizing the medanafen PSX core, WiiSX runs decent but has bad compat while medanafen is slower but can run a lot more games. One can only wish as it seems WiiSX and Wii64 are almost dead.

I want to have different settings for Gambette when I play gameboy and gameboy color games. I tried copying and renaming the dol hoping it would create a different config, but it still uses the same one. Is there a way I can have two different config files?

This is possible with the latest code, I have three gambatte cores with different grayscale palettes but they each have their own settings, all you have to do is rename like you said. A temporary fix would be to open the dol in a hex editor and edit the name of the cfg.

Or wait for the upcoming release which can do what you describe.

There's going to be another release soon? I thought that RetroArch was, well....never mind.

For some reason, RA isn't cleaning up after itself after quitting a game (leaving behind unzipped nes files and such, that later show up in my coverflow). Shouldn't it be doing this? Is there something I need to change?

It might have issues with zipped ROMs, try extracting them instead, I found that zipping smaller ROMs isn't all that worth doing, seeing as their size is negligible.
