Perhaps you're an individual who purchased his Xbox One after the intermittent price cut to $399. And perhaps you've been thinking, "Boy, I sure wish Microsoft would sell it's kinect standalone so I could spend the extra money to get one that I didn't want with my console in the first place." If you have Uttered this phrase, first of all seek immediate social therapy, and second, prepare your wallet, as this little hunk a junk is coming at ya with a $150 price tag.

The standalone Xbox One Kinect SKU finally has a price tag and a launch date: Microsoft announced it’ll cost $149, and you can buy it on October 7. That $149 includes a copy of Dance Central Spotlight, an upcoming music video game in the Dance Central series due out on September 2.
I hadn't realized Dance Central was Kinect selling Material now. No word yet if this will become the same pricing platform for the supposed Windows Exclusive Kinect launching sometime in the near future. TBF, the kinect has always been known as an abysmal little device with some simple little features that could take it a long way, were it implemented properly. Motion Gaming is neat and all, but perfecting the peripheral has a long way to go before any real gaming with it can be preformed. Until then, if you would Like a $150 Voice command brick, it looks as though now is your chance to get one.

I just want it as a webcam, disappointed it's hard to find in bundles anymore because it was cheaper that way. I would happily trade the headset that came in MC collection bundle.

Maybe I could trade my Silver Mario amiibo with someone.

How the fuck does that work, sell the xbox one individually for $400 or for $500 with kinect, meaning they are selling the kinect bundled for $100.
The idea of a bundle is that you must own the more expensive thing to get the additional thing for cheaper, but you HAVE to own an xbone to use the kinect.
Last i checked you could count the amount of kinect supported games with your fingers.

You can use it with Windows too (Kinnectimals for Windows 8 is the only notable use I can think of though). Last I checked there is no Windows + kinnect bundle (and few Xbox One + kinnect bundles anymore either)

But like I said. main appeal is that it's a 1080p webcam with bonus features.

The kinect has a special connector so there's a seperate version for the pc for about $200, although i'm not able to find it.

There was a Kinnect 1.5 that was an upgraded version of the 360 kinnect and I think there's a 2.5 planned. the xbox ones are compatible aswell (not sure if it works both ways) and I just looked up and there is an expensive adapter to use the XBOne Kinnect on PC (could probably build your own adapter cheaper.)
