One day, I was playing a burnt copy of Abe's Exoddus (I own it legit on PC, but the cutscenes freeze the game for some reason on my PC discs) on my modded PS2 Slim (I'm no expert on what is in my PS2, but when I boot up a game, the PS2 logo has "Matrix" and "Infinity v1.99" on it, that's all I know, someone modded it for me).
When I get to the bit where I have to switch discs (jumped into the well to FeeCo), the game tells me to "Please Insert Disc 2" and I do put the other disc in, but when I do that, my Slim attempts to read the disc inside and the screen says "Hang On A Sec...", but after a couple of seconds, the disc suddenly stops spinning.
I kept on opening and closing the disc tray over and over again and it won't keep spinning, it only spins for a couple of seconds and it just stops, every, damn, time. WHY! The discs I used are "Verbatim Inkjet Printable CD-R" discs. Would the material have to do something with this? The top of the disc seems to feel rough.
Glad I didn't waste too much time on FF7...
