This is what's keeping me away from Vita, I like games whether they're Indie or "AAA" (triple A batteries please? lol) but I just can't get used to the fact that the games would be in digital format for the majority, plus RPG or Visual Novels aren't really my favourite genres to be playing.

If only Sony hired Naughty Dog to develop a new Crash Bandicoot for the Vita I'd be sold!
You and I both know Naughty Dog doesn't do handheld games or will never work on a Crash game again.

Dude, if it was a PS Vita exclusive it could really boost Vita's sales. And a Last of us port would be cool...

It would definitely because it's what people have been asking for years. Come on Sony!

You and I both know Naughty Dog doesn't do handheld games or will never work on a Crash game again.
Then for PlayStation 4 please. ^_^

That's like going to the 3DS board and saying "So i'm supposed to get excited over Nintendo games?"

If you own a Vita and don't like indie/jap games, you've made a horrible mistake. If not, you're on the wrong board bro. Nintendoland is that'a way *points in arbitrary direction*

i own a vita because of the other niche titles and ps+ (which was my main reason for getting the vita, the free games) i like racing and fighting games, it wasn't because of the rpgs that i chose the vita, it gets pretty lonely without anything for the vita getting released but at least i have ps+ to keep on pumping out the free games even though the quality of the igc has gone downhill a lot recently.

What does "I don't like indies" mean? Does it actually mean something? indie is not a genre

That's kind of a dumb question. (well, it's a valid question presented in a dumb way)
Indie games are games developed and released without an actual publisher. This (often) means they are developed by a limited number of people with a limited amount of funds. Thanks to kickstarter and such, not always the case anymore, but the point still stands.
19/20 times it's very easy to tell indie games apart from published games.

I've explained my point right after:
I think you've misunderstood the point of my post.

I read this:

and thought "what does it mean 'if you don't like indie games'?"

Indie games as I said does not point to a genre neither to a selection of similar games, in fact those games often do not have anything in common outside of budget.

That leads me to believe that there are people who actually judge games on how much budget was behind them rather than based on their quality.

it's no use, the thread is just a flood of images. If only the images were smaller or split up into pages.

Fat Princess Piece of Cake caught my eye, but then I realized the screenshot is almost certainly the wrong game.
WTF is the point of saying it's an iOS screenshot when the screenshot is not even the correct game?
The watermark even says "Fat Princess". NOT "Fat Princess: Piece of Cake" just "Fat Princess". Did Fat Princess even come out on iOS??

And I can't even reply to point it out because it's fucking neogaf.

edit: Here is what the game actually looks like:
screen568x568.jpeg

Turns out it's out on iOS already. And a far cry from the screenshot in that neogaf thread sadly. But I'd still give it a try.

I've explained my point right after:
In that case, take "I don't like low budget games that claim to be artsy to make up for their shortcomings which truthfuly spring directly from a lack of resources, skill and experience of those who made them". There are some exceptions, but most Indies suck major donkey balls.

The good thing about the indie set up on Vita is the fact Sony acts as a gatekeeper. We're only getting boradly 'good' worthwhile titles. Most indie barely generate revenue of $500.

Wont happen as Activision holds the rights for Crash.

I wonder why these fucktards bought Crash, just look how bad the recent Crash games are.
This, and Spyro should have their copyrights owned by Sony/Naughty Dog,
they surely would make good use of it.

Insomniac was the company that made the spyro games and they sold the franchise off when they couldnt really find something new for the franchise and didnt want to keep releasing rehashes of the same game
I think they should have just left the series dormant rather then it getting traded around like some cheap whore and the whole skylanders is a simple cash cow for activison so they will milk it dry by pumping out $20 figures and the same exact game over and over again till its no longer profitable, so they wont sell anytime soon
crash however is a possibility http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07...ash-bandicoot-jak-4-and-uncharted-remastering

Your right the vita has no games which is why I have to constantly delete games off my 32GB card to make room for all of non-vita games being released all the damn time.

The vita becomes more something like a device with the google play store than a real handheld with a good AAA lineup. I am feeling like owning a ferrari which is allowed driving only 30 km/h. It is such a shame.
